Nia Renee, MBA, is a published model, certified relationship coach, motivational speaker, and author with over a decade of experience. She has graced major runways, including New York Fashion Week, and continues to be a passionate advocate for inclusivity, especially for models with disabilities and chronic illnesses. But it’s not the lights of the runway that define her—it’s the light she brings into the lives of others through her story, her strength, and her service.
Nia Renee’s life is a masterclass in resilience. She overcame a childhood marked by abuse and chaos, choosing healing over bitterness and breaking free from the toxic cycles that tried to claim her. Her journey wasn’t easy, and it certainly wasn’t linear. It was a battle—a sacred, personal battle to reclaim her identity, set boundaries, and rewrite the story of her life. That battle became her platform.
Despite enduring six brain surgeries and living with multiple rare brain disorders and chronic illnesses, Nia Renee continues to show up—for herself and for others. Her courage isn’t just seen in her survival but in her willingness to be transparent, to lead with empathy, and to remind the world that strength and softness can coexist. “I allowed myself to break at first,” she shares. “I allowed it to become real, and once I allowed reality in, I could handle it. I coped by focusing on the moment in front of me. I gave myself permission to cry, to grieve, and then to fight.”
Therapy, journaling, and a strong support system became the lifelines she held onto. Through them, she reminded herself daily, “I’m still here, and that means I still have a purpose.”
That purpose has taken many forms. As the founder of How To Love A Battered Woman, Nia Renee created a safe space for survivors of abuse—a space rooted in education, advocacy, and empowerment. Through her coaching and motivational speaking, she teaches others how to reclaim their confidence, set boundaries, and transform their pain into purpose. Her book, The Road To Intentional Dating, is more than a guide to romantic relationships—it’s a guide to healing, wholeness, and self-worth.
To those still in abusive relationships, she offers wisdom without judgment. “You are not the cause of the abuse, and you are not weak for staying. But you do deserve safety and peace. Reach out to someone you trust, create a safety plan, and remember, leaving is a process, not a single event. Take one brave step at a time.”
To survivors who feel broken beyond repair, she offers a truth she lives by: “You are not broken, you are rebuilding. Trauma may change you, but it doesn’t define you. You are worthy of love, peace, and joy—even after everything.”
When asked how she defines resilience, she says, “It’s not about bouncing back; it’s about rising differently. It’s the decision to keep going, even when your heart is heavy and your path unclear. It’s quiet strength, daily courage, and relentless hope.”
She draws inspiration from women who model strength with grace. “Beyoncé’s mindset and work ethic inspire me. I didn’t have a mother who showed me how to grow and wanted me to flourish. Seeing Beyoncé thrive in motherhood and business, from my childhood to adulthood, is powerful.” And Michelle Obama? “She leads her life with such grace, genuine energy, and kindness. She commands respect the moment she walks into a room.”
Through it all, Nia Renee continues to rise—not for applause, but for impact. Her story is a testament to what’s possible when someone decides that their past will not dictate their future. For anyone facing adversity, for every survivor who doubts their strength, her life stands as a declaration: healing is possible, and you are never beyond hope.
