Mind, Body, and Spirit: Meet MuvaEarf

Healers, Spiritual Advisors, and Doulas are becoming more and more popular in today’s society. Although they’ve always been at arm’s reach to help, people are beginning to focus on a more holistic or organic way of eating, thinking, and feeling. MuvaEarf is an Herbalist, Certified Yoni Steam Practitioner, Doula, and Reiki Practitioner.

“MuvaEarf is based on mind, body, and spirit ensures that connection is made with EVERY experience. MuvaEarf provides melanated people with mental stability techniques to navigate through this journey called life.” She added, “Not only am I a full time business owner since Covid-19 has begun, I’m also a full time mom with another little one the way. While preparing for a new baby, virtual learning, and running a business full time has its challenges. Along with a few other hurdles in the way. I’m grateful my family and I have not been affected by the illness; by remaining quarantined and stocked up on our natural supplements. Thanks to MuvaEarf.”

Everyone has their own definition of the phrase “Spiritual Journey” and what it means to them.

The expression “Spiritual Journey” to me means I’m a spiritual being experiencing a human journey becoming one with myself aside from the physical while gaining control of emotions rather than allowing outsiders or sudden changes affect my mood; being comfortable with who I am even if others are not comfortable with the perceived energy.”

Women’s Mental Health is extremely important especially when we wear many different hats.

“Women’s Mental Health is highly important on my list. After having my son a few years back; suffering through postpartum made me realize that I no longer knew self and how important it is to take care of me FIRST. MuvaEarf added, “It’s so easy to lose your composure in the life of a mom and wife. Once I started feeding into my soul before others it made life easier. Journaling early morning, meditation right after, taking time to hear myself think, or even as simple as eating breakfast before the household wakes up puts me at peace which allows me to keep my sanity.”

Meditating is a great way to disconnect and relive stress. “Yes meditation is one form of peace I take pride in.” Muva continued by adding, “Originally when I first began meditating I had hard time focusing or “clearing my mind”. That was my BIGGEST issue once I realized that’s simply what minds do, wonder. I learned that you have to allow your thoughts to drift by like clouds one after the other vs. scrambling your mind into a position it is not ready for. It’s like forcing yourself to go to sleep; you won’t get the end result if you’re just straining your eyes shut. You have to allow yourself to be in the moment and just flow which is a lot of what we’re missing majority of the time.”
