Sean Jones Returns with a Summer Residency at Toronto’s Iconic Palais Royale

Toronto, ON – Juno Award-winning R&B artist and actor Sean Jones is bringing the heat back to Toronto this summer with an exciting new residency at the legendary Palais Royale. Located at 1601 Lake Shore Blvd W., the historic venue will host Jones and his acclaimed band on Wednesdays beginning July 16, 2025, with bi-monthly performances scheduled throughout the season.

Carrying on a tradition that spans nearly a century — with legends like Count Basie and Duke Ellington having once graced its stage — the Palais Royale will once again echo with the sounds of timeless R&B. Sean Jones, known for his unforgettable stage presence, promises a live experience that seamlessly blends nostalgic soul with modern R&B influences, creating an atmosphere that’s as powerful as it is passionate.

Fans of Jones will recall his sold-out “Soul In The City” series at Casa Loma, which captivated audiences week after week. A trailblazer in his own right, Jones was named the first-ever musical ambassador for WestJet, where he developed the widely celebrated WestJet Boarding Sessions.

His impressive résumé includes opening for Ellen DeGeneres’ arena tour and sharing the stage with industry greats such as Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, David Foster, Usher, Beyoncé, Macy Gray, Eric Benét, Alan Frew, Divine Brown, and Jully Black. His single “Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone,” featured in the U.S. film Sons 2 The Grave, was also nominated for a Hollywood Music Award.

Fresh off his 2024 “Summer Soul” series at Harbourfront Concert Stage, which drew standing-room-only crowds, Jones recently wowed audiences at the legendary El Mocambo. Continuing to evolve, he self-produced the hit holiday concert Holiday Soul in Hamilton — a benefit for local food banks featuring special guests Divine Brown, Jackie Richardson, and the Hamilton Youth Philharmonic.
