‘High on the Hog’ is Back with Season 2 on Netflix [Trailer]

If you remember when this series hit Netflix back in 2021, it made those who are true lovers of African American culture, history and dishes come alive.

I mean how amazing did it feel to discover the back stories to our most prominent dishes around the world. It was truly an emotional experience to watch the stories unfold. With it now returning for another season, we are on the edge of our seats. Its right on time for one of the biggest holiday traditions in the USA which is Thanksgiving. This is the time of the year where black families will gather to present dishes attached to generational recipes.

This season, Satterfield will travel coast to coast, visiting places like New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Lousiana and more, where he interviews and dines with chefs, former sharecroppers, artists, activists and many others.
