Nominations Follow Four GRAMMY Wins in 2023
ATLANTA – November 13, 2023 – Christian Contemporary music collective Maverick City Music, has earned two GRAMMY nominations for the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards airing February 4th, 2024. The five-time Grammy winners are nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song (“God Problems”) and Best Gospel Album (“The Maverick Way”).
In 2023, the group not only performed but won all of their four GRAMMY nominations for Best Gospel Performance/Song (“Kingdom” feat. Naomi Raine & Chandler Moore), Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance (“Fear is Not My Future” feat. Brandon Lake & Chandler Moore), Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (“Breathe”) and Best Gospel Album (“Kingdom Book One” Deluxe). The four wins encompassed all of the Christian and Gospel categories, tying with Beyonce for most wins of the night. At that show, Maverick City Music’s debut GRAMMY performance became the first in the genre in over 20 years to perform during the televised event. In 2021, Maverick City Music received a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (“Old Church Basement”).

On October 27th, Maverick City Music, Chandler Moore & Naomi Raine released their 22-track album, ‘The Maverick Way Complete’ via Insignia & TRIBL Records. The album features tracks from the ‘The Maverick Way’ EP, which shot to number one on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart. The album features collaborations with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Noah Schnacky, Bobbi Storm, Travis Greene, Cody Carnes, Wande, and more. ‘The Maverick Way Complete’ incorporates emotionally charged records and passionate performances, which the group is distinctively known for, while fusing their blend of gospel, R&B, pop, and contemporary worship.
‘The Maverick Way’ tour kicked off on November 1st with a total of 16 stops through November 19th with performances from Maverick City Music, Todd Galberth, Noah Schnacky, Ashley Hess, Roosevelt Stewart, Anthony Brown, and JWLKRS. In 2022, Maverick City Music’s ‘Kingdom Tour’ with Kirk Franklin was one of the biggest tours of the year, consistently ranking in the Pollstar Top 10 week after week, selling out arenas across America.
