FEMI Magazine: Natashia Bobbitt: Can you tell us about your journey from corporate America to becoming successful hair stylists and salon owners?
Fueled by our shared passion for empowering Black women to love their hair, our journey started back in high school when we used to style fellow friends’ hair for school dances out of our parent’s garage. After college, we moved on to pursue corporate sales careers, but our passion for hair prompted us to pursue our higher calling and venture back into the hair industry. In 2006, we opened our first salon in Sacramento and our second location in Los Angeles, launching our Healthy Hair Care Program, an in-hair growth service. Our vision was to provide professional services and products to assist women in fostering their own hair growth. In 2020, we launched our 5-Step Healthy Hair Care System product line to provide a systemic approach to hair care- even from the comfort of their own homes and have continued to grow our business and expand our products ever since.
