Today, so many are taking steps to move towards surgery to achieve the beauty they desire with their skin and bodies.  What are some natural and healthy treatments that offer to achieve these goals?

Hello, Thank you for this opportunity to speak with you today.

Looking and feeling good starts on the inside and at Rejuvenére Health, we offer a variety of natural and healthy treatments to help achieve your skin and body goals. One of our most popular options is our medically supervised weight loss program, which takes a holistic approach to weight loss and healthy living.

Our weight loss program incorporates several elements, including detoxing, dietary lifestyle changes, exercise, mental wellness, and sleep hygiene. Detoxing helps to rid your body of toxins and impurities, which can help to improve your overall health.

One of the most important things you can do for your skin and body is to maintain a healthy diet. Eating a balanced diet that is rich in nutrients can help support your overall health.

Unlike surgery, exercise not only helps you burn calories and lose weight, but it can also help improve your skin tone and texture. Exercise can also help reduce stress and promote better sleep which is essential for our body to heal and regenerate. In addition, we recommend incorporating stress-reducing practices such as reading or meditation to help manage stress and promote mental wellness.  Our weight loss program is designed to help our clients achieve their skin and body goals in a natural and healthy way, with a focus on making sustainable lifestyle changes that will support lifelong health and overall wellness.

Tell us your personal inspiration behind opening a Med Spa.

Opening a Med spa was a natural progression for me, given my background in healthcare and my desire to help people look and feel their best. After spending over a decade caring for chronically ill patients in the emergency room and ICU, I came to realize the importance of maintaining one’s health and well-being. But I also saw how feeling good about one’s appearance can be just as crucial to a person’s overall happiness and quality of life.

As someone who struggled with self-confidence as a child, I know firsthand how transformative it can be to have access to treatments and services that enhance one’s natural beauty. I wanted to provide a safe and welcoming environment where others like me could come to improve their appearance while also prioritizing their health and wellness.

Ultimately, opening a Med spa was a way for me to merge my passion for helping people with my interest in aesthetics and beauty. I’m excited to continue providing top-notch care and services to my clients and to help them feel confident, healthy, and beautiful inside and out.

So many have turned to turmeric and lemon soaps etc to help with hyperpigmentation.  What remedy do you offer for removing dark spots and uneven skin tones?

Turmeric and lemon soaps are natural and very effective in treating skin hyperpigmentation when used correctly, however, there are many other effective treatments that can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

However, as qualified health professionals, we understand that no two skin conditions are the same, therefore, we work with each client to determine the best treatment option for their specific skin concerns and develop a personalized treatment plan that’s right for them.

Some popular options include:

1. Chemical peels that exfoliate the outer layers of skin and can help reduce the appearance of dark spots and other discoloration.

2. Laser treatments are popular options used to target dark spots and other areas of hyperpigmentation, helping to break up the excess melanin and encourage new cell growth.

3. Microdermabrasion is another option that exfoliates the outer layers of the skin and can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and other skin discoloration.

Finally, it is essential to use sunscreen regularly to protect the skin from further damage and prevent dark spots and hyperpigmentation from occurring or getting worse.

4.  In what ways do you make your clients feel they have come to the right place outside of any other spa?

As a Nurse Practitioner in the med spa industry, my top priority is providing exceptional care and service to all my clients. I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where clients feel confident and assured that they have come to the right place for their aesthetic needs.

In addition, we offer personalized consultations to understand their unique concerns and goals. We take the time to listen to our clients, answer their questions, and provide honest and transparent recommendations that align with their individual needs.  We stay up to date with training and the most advanced technology in order to deliver safe, effective, and long-lasting results to every client.

Importantly, we strive to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, where clients feel at ease and confident in their choice to trust us with their health and aesthetic needs. We believe that building trust and rapport with our clients is crucial to establishing a positive and long-lasting relationship, and we always strive to exceed their expectations in terms of service, care, and results.

I see that one of the services you offer at your Med spa is Micro-needling.  Would you say it’s better than Botox?

Micro-needling and Botox treatments are designed to address different concerns and achieve different outcomes.  Micro-needling is used to promote collagen production, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more even-looking skin. It can be effective in treating a range of concerns, including acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin texture and tone.

Whereas, Botox, is mostly used to address lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes. Botox can be effective in reducing the appearance of these types of dynamic wrinkles, but it does not address issues with skin texture or tone.

The decision to choose micro needling or Botox will depend on each individual’s concerns and goals.

You often hear how facials work wonders for the skin.  How often would you recommend getting facials to maintain healthy skin and even tones?

It is recommended that facials be done at least once every four to six weeks.  However, the frequency of facials may change depending on factors such as skin type, age, and exposure to sun and pollution. Some people with more sensitive skin may require less frequent facials, while others with more severe concerns may benefit from more frequent treatments.  Facials, along with daily skincare routines and a consistent skincare regimen, can help maintain healthy, radiant, even skin tone and texture.

What facial do you recommend based on skin type for dry skin or oily skin?

For clients with dry skin, I would typically recommend a hydrating facial that includes ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, which helps to retain moisture in the skin. This type of facial can also include gentle exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover, as well as a nourishing mask to soothe and hydrate the skin.

For clients with oily or acne-prone skin, I might recommend a deep cleansing facial that includes ingredients such as salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to help unclog pores and reduce excess oil production. This type of facial can also include extractions to remove blackheads and whiteheads, as well as a calming mask to reduce inflammation and promote healing.

For clients with combination skin, a facial that balances hydration and oil control can be beneficial. This might include a combination of exfoliation, extractions, and a customized mask to target specific concerns in different areas of the face.

Ultimately, the best facial for each individual will depend on their unique skin type and concerns. At my med spa, we work closely with each client to assess their skin and recommend the most appropriate facial treatment to help them achieve their desired results.

What are some daily vitamins that help your skin?  Would you recommend making part of your daily routine?

Several vitamins are important for maintaining healthy skin such as vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin A.

• Vitamin C helps to protect the skin from free radical damage, promote collagen production, and brighten the skin’s appearance.

• Vitamin D plays an important role in skin cell growth, repair, and immunity.

• Vitamin E helps to protect the skin from environmental damage and maintain moisture levels.

• Vitamin A helps to regulate skin cell growth and turnover, promoting a healthy, even complexion.

Taking these vitamins can be beneficial for skin health, however, please note that taking excessive amounts of any vitamin can have negative effects on our health.  Therefore, it is recommended that we attempt to meet daily vitamin needs through a balanced diet and discuss supplements use with our individual healthcare provider to prevent adverse health effects.

In the black community, we tend to overlook the need for sunscreen, do you feel it’s necessary for us as well?

Sunscreen use is important for all skin types and tones, including the black community. People with darker skin are still susceptible to sun damage, including sunburns, premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer. In fact, skin cancer can often be more deadly in people with darker skin tones due to delayed detection and diagnosis.

It’s true, people with darker skin have more natural protection against UV damage due to the presence of melanin, however, it’s still important to use a sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, and to use enough to adequately cover the skin.

I recommend choosing sunscreen specifically formulated for people with darker skin tones, which can help to prevent white cast and provide a smooth application.
