How To Date During Covid 19

This pandemic has many people on edge.  Between possible school reopenings, new COVID cases and daily stressors; our daily bustling lives have been met with some anxious behavior. However, you can still maintain some sense of normalcy in your life…even if you’re single.  Despite COVID-19, there are still some available dating options for you and your partner or even your soon to be partner.  Some states are opening business doors and still requiring mask coverings.  Some recreational areas are also open for entanglements, I mean exploratory exercise and such.

So what are some options for date nights?  I’ve thought of a few and here they are:

Personal Sip and Paint.  The infamous style of sip and paints bring so much fun, laughter and creativity but this time, you can do a private one in your own home.  Simply gather your canvases, acrylic paint, brushes and a small cup of water to let your inner Picaso go!  There are some retailers that offer pre-sketched canvases or you can just be unique.  However, @artxsun on Instagram is one of my fav artists who offers free sip and paints through her IG Live.  So check her out if you don’t feel like being totally misguided in your date night painting.  Body paint is another sexy option as well….

Table for Two.  Some of us have enjoyed eating a lot within our homes but there are some ways to spice it up.  Picture it:  Table for two, candlelight, soft music playing and your own personal chef for the night.  That’s right, a personal chef.  Many area chefs are able to bring their culinary delights to your own kitchen.  Set the menu ahead of time and enjoy a dinner for two in the comfort of your own home.

Netflix and the Backyard.  The famous evenings of Netflix and chill can be kicked up a notch.  In your own backyard, use an inflatable movie screen to watch your next blockbuster on.  Enjoy a meal, snacks, drinks or whatever in your comfiest lawn chairs with your love.

Black Lives and Movement.  We know that many areas are down for the culture and for the Black Lives Matters movement.  When seen several depictions in the media in which streets are being re-named “Black Lives Matter’; murals are being painted; and street vendors are available for the culture.  So go with your loved one and take a stroll through the city to see firsthand how the movement is transforming lives.  If you want to take it a step further, join in a peaceful protest too.  Go hard or go home!

Work it Out.  If you and your partner are both lovers of fitness, then schedule a meetup at your local gym.  Many gyms are offering outdoor fitness sessions with a limited number of people.  If you want to be even safer, then use your cable guide for fitness channels/sessions or even participate in YouTube or Zoom offerings from your favorite fitness gurus.  Feel the burn and feel the love all at once.

Post up at the park.  Many recreational parks are opening up.  Enjoy a nice picnic in the blanketed grass with your partner.  Simple meals like sandwiches, cheese, fruit and wine can do just fine.  If you’re not up for the meal, have a nice walk throughout the park trails.  Intimacy goes beyond the bedroom and open dialogue may be a start for your relationship matters.

So these are just a few ideas for your COVID romance.  Listen to one another and adjust your plans according to your own likes and styles.  Despite any planned event, don’t forget to continuously water your love life.  No pandemic should allow your love to decline.  Romance isn’t dead.  Allow your ongoing love to be the pandemic in your home.
