Cardi B to Make Hosting Debut at the 2021 American Music Awards

It’s official! Rapper Cardi B will be hosting the 2021 American Music Awards. The show will air live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theatre on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

The star made the announcement via twitter on Tuesday morning.

At this year’s show, the artist will anticipate the fate of three nominations – favorite music video and favorite hip-hop song, both for her single “Up”,  and favorite female hip-hop artist.

The hit-maker has previously won five American Music Awards herself – favorite rap/hip-hop artist (2018), favorite soul/r&b song for “Finesse” (2018), favorite rap/hip-hop song for “Bodak Yellow” (2018), favorite rap/hip-hop artist (2019), and favorite rap/hip-hop song for “WAP” (2020).

We cannot wait to see what the thoroughly entertaining and talented Cardi B has for us as she graces the AMA stage making this the fifth consecutive year that a Black woman has hosted the awards show.
