Let’s start with humble beginnings on how the company started and the current plans.
-Herb’N Eden began with Terran looking for a valuable skill to learn. We were interning at an urban farm in Atlanta, and farmers market exposure had her looking for something she could do. While reading a book on crafts, she came across soap making and decided to give it a go. It started as a hobby and eventually turned into a business. We decided on the name Herb’N Eden and began selling the soaps we made. Over the years, we got involved in farmers’ markets and always had a room carved out in our home to make soap. Our current plans are to fine-tune our product offerings and mature the business.
Has business remained approximately stable since starting?
-We have experienced tremendous growth, and our customer base has continued to grow. Over the past few years, we acquired a retail store and warehouse with a team of 30 people.
Please tell us about some of the products offered by Herb’N Eden.
– All our products are plant-based, and we only use essential oils to scent them for their therapeutic properties. Our most popular products are the tea tree and turmeric soap, activated charcoal soap, & lemongrass, and patchouli. We also offer moisturizers, body scrubs, deodorants, etc.
What’s your perspective on self-care?
Self-care is essential. If you don’t take care of yourself, how can you show up to do for others? At some point, you will experience burnout, and Self-care is essential to living a thriving and healthy life.
What products from the company are your favorite for those self-care moments?
Any of the lavender products because they remind you to be present now. Lavender is so relaxing and can help you to slow down. Also, our moisturizers because they help to nourish the skin.
What’s your next step for the future of the company?
Our next step is to improve our production process and current products, as well as come out with ore so that we can take over bathrooms nationwide.
