Donnelle’s story begins with her being a very proud West African – American, with Sierra Leone and Nigerian roots. She knew at a young age that her career wasn’t going to be traditional.
Donnelle, a graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Sports Management and Communication studies, pursued her professional career of working in the world of sports and entertainment knowing it would be no easy ride.
Donnelle wasted no time and went straight to work when it came to building her network and her experience.
With hard work and determination, Donnelle landed roles at Octagon and musically attached Roc Nation. She then landed an opportunity to work with Forbes 30 under 30 honoree Rashida Gayle at Twenty-Six Entertainment. Soon after her hire, she was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
Donnelle’s responsibilities include leading the development of marketing plans and strategies, managing the sales & partnerships team, and fostering business development opportunities for Twenty-Six and their clients. Donnelle plans to continue advancing her career and scaling Twenty-Six Entertainment into the vanguard of industry recognition.
Donnelle has faced many obstacles, especially when entering the industry and trying to build a pathway for herself as a young black woman. However, 2020 modeled a different level of complexity. She began working at Twenty-Six during the start of the pandemic. As trademarks and brands were skipping their marketing contribution, twenty-six began gaining new clients and strategizing in a post-pandemic world.
Although working heavily in sports, Donnelle’s own enthusiasm has perpetually been rooted in entertainment – especially in music, television, and content creation. She oversees the expansion of clients and brands within the entertainment space at Twenty-Six and is extremely hands-on with influencers. While assigning brand opportunities is her principal obligation, her role includes creative & necessary outlining, public relations, social media, and analyzing data analytics. Donnelle prioritizes and even fulfills the industry’s obligation and its evolving trends to continually encourage concrete outcomes and surpass the expectations of both her growing company and patrons.
Donnelle continues to make an impressionable impact as she advances in her career. Since the beginning of the year and since the company’s inception, the clientele and relationships have grown, reaching for different pathways from upcoming athletes to exciting and innovative influencers and brands. She’s observed more than 100 campaigns and over a million dollars in partnership and opportunities.
