AEBL Tips Off Free Summer Basketball Experience for Metro Atlanta Families This Fourth of July Weekend

The Atlanta Entertainment Basketball League (AEBL) Summer Pro-Am returns to Metro Atlanta this Fourth of July weekend, officially tipping off Saturday, July 4, and running through August 23, 2026. Founded in 2013 by Jah Rawlings, AEBL has grown from a local basketball initiative into one of the city’s most influential sports and community platforms, bringing together professional athletes, celebrities, entertainers, and families under its signature mission: “Where The Culture Meets The Court.”

More than a basketball league, AEBL has become a free, family-friendly summer experience that offers access to elite men’s and women’s competition while creating space for youth to engage with role models both on and off the court. Games regularly feature appearances and participation from notable names across sports and entertainment, including Anthony Edwards, Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Isaiah Thomas, Ty Young, 2 Chainz, Saweetie, Toya Johnson, Monica, and Mayor Andre Dickens, among others.

Each summer, the league draws more than 25,000 spectators and generates an estimated $1.3 million economic impact across Metro Atlanta, while also providing seasonal and year-round employment opportunities and investing more than $100,000 annually into youth and community initiatives. With over 11 million digital impressions and more than 50,000 youth impacted through its programming, AEBL continues to position basketball as a powerful vehicle for opportunity and community development.

The Summer Pro-Am serves as the flagship of a broader ecosystem that includes Jr. AEBL youth development programs, AEBL Girlz, the Atlanta Holiday Classic, and the nationally recognized “Earn Your Name” All-Star experience. These initiatives focus on skill development, leadership, exposure, and creating pathways for young athletes, particularly expanding opportunities for girls ages 10–17 competing at high levels.

As Atlanta continues to strengthen its identity as a global hub for sports and culture, AEBL remains rooted in its commitment to connection, empowerment, and access. Full schedules, team details, and player lineups are available at AEBLHoops.com as the 2026 season begins.
