Film and TV Multi-Hyphenate Tyler Perry to be Awarded with the Innovator Award

Emmy, GRAMMY and NAACP Image Award-winning actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish Returns to Host Landmark Ceremony

13x GRAMMY Award-Winning Artist, Producer and Songwriter, Babyface Returns as Award Show Musical Director

Hollywood Unlocked, the multi-million-dollar media company that features celebrity news, information, and interviews along with candid conversations, has announced the sixth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.

Recognizing influencers, celebrities, and icons who have made a lasting impact on the culture. Founded by CEO, culture critic, media personality, and talk show host, Jason Lee, the award show highlights recipient contributions across the music, film, media, political, social, and creative industries to celebrate their accomplishments and contributions for the Black community.

The 2026 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards will be hosted by Emmy, GRAMMY and NAACP Image Award-winning actress and comedian, Tiffany Haddish and will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. In addition to the award recognitions, the evening will include special performances and an intimate dinner followed by an exclusive, star-studded after-party celebration.

Confirmed participants include Impact Awards show hosts Tiffany Haddish, Innovator Award honoree Tyler Perry, and 13-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist, producer, and songwriter Babyface, who returns as this year’s Musical Director, with more VIPs to be announced.

This year, the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards will benefit the Hollywood Cares Foundation, the nonprofit organization founded by Jason Lee dedicated to uplifting underserved youth in Black and Brown communities through programming centered around youth leadership, civic engagement, and personal development. A portion of proceeds from the evening will go directly toward supporting the Foundation’s life-changing initiatives.

Previous honorees include Sharon Stone, Cardi B, Don Lemon, Niecy Nash, Chlöe Bailey, Law Roach, Whoopi Goldberg, Floyd Mayweather, Kelis, Lizzo and more.

The Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards celebrates a wide range of contributions to culture and community through the following award categories:

The Community Award – given to an individual whose lifetime of achievements has forever changed the world for the better. Celebrates individuals who, through dedication and actions towards building a better community, have inspired change.
The Culture Award – bestowed upon an individual who is vital to moving the culture forward. Celebrates individuals who are a voice for the people, a keeper of integrity, and demand respect from the community.
The Fearlessness Award – awarded to an individual who faces the world unafraid and unapologetic. They stand in the face of fear with resilience and tenacity, and through their accomplishments, they inspire and change the world.
The Icon Award – appointed to a trailblazing entertainer who has changed the way we view the world. Through their contributions to music, movies, and the arts, they have set a standard of excellence that continues to raise the bar.
The Inspiration Award – given to a recipient who has defied the odds and come out on top. Through their willingness to succeed, they have pushed through hardships and defeat to emerge as a phoenix.
The Innovator Award – awarded to an individual who transformed a specific genre of the entertainment industry. Celebrates individuals who have proven longevity and consistency in their field.
The Social Impact Award – awarded to an individual who has used their platform to fight for change by giving a voice to their community. Through their efforts, they inspire and encourage others to stand for the change they want to see.
The Pioneer Award – granted to an individual who has blazed a path for others to follow. Through innovation, they have transcended industry norms to create a platform that has impacted culture.
