Detroit Nurse-Entrepreneur Launches FDA-Cleared Supplement Line to Close Health Gap for Young Adults

Detroit, MI – Stormie Anderson, the registered nurse, serial wellness innovator, and founder of House of Contour Spa & Wellness ( #1 weight loss clinic in metro Detroit), is stepping into a new era of health leadership. After years of offering GLP-1 therapies like Wegovy to her clients, Anderson has developed a pharmacist-formulated, FDA approved supplement line that supports sustainable weight loss without the dramatic drops many experience on GLP-1 regimens.

Born and raised in Detroit, Anderson’s calling grew from her years of working in inner-city hospitals, witnessing waves of chronic illness, obesity, stroke, diabetes, stemming from poor access to weight education and preventive care. She began by offering free weight education classes and wellness screenings in underserved Detroit neighborhoods. Over time, that passion evolved into House of Contour, launched in 2021, which now provides life-changing services across the region.

“I saw too many young people suffer early because they didn’t understand their bodies or have access to routine medical care,” Anderson says. “I want my clients to leave our facility more informed, more confident, and safer on their health journey.”

A true pioneer in her field, Anderson is the only Black-owned med spa in metro Detroit offering advanced weight loss services such as GLP-1 therapies along with personalized guidance. She also holds the distinction of being the first in her area to launch a trademarked, FDA approved supplement line designed to support safe, balanced, and more affordable weight loss. With nearly two decades of experience as a registered nurse, her clinical background and expertise guide every aspect of her work She blends medical precision, compassion, and care together to service every client of House of Contour.

Her new supplement line is not intended to compete with GLP-1 treatments, but to fill a gap, for clients who seek gradual, sustainable metabolic support without the intense side effects that often accompany rapid loss. Each formula is pharmacist – developed and adheres to the highest safety standards.

Anderson’s vision reaches far beyond Detroit as she positions herself as a national voice for health education and access to care among young adults, a population that too often delays medical attention until conditions become life-threatening. In 2023, 13.1% of Americans ages 19 to 25 were uninsured despite gains under the Affordable Care Act, and surveys reveal that nearly 38% of Americans delay or avoid seeing a doctor due to cost or mistrust. Young adults, in particular, use medical services the least, even though early intervention could prevent lifelong disease. By offering innovative treatments, free community wellness clinics, and ongoing educational campaigns, Anderson is ensuring that the House of Contour stands at the forefront of closing this dangerous gap between access and outcomes.

This fall, Anderson and House of Contour will roll out a series of initiatives that blend wellness with community impact.

In October, recognized as National Weight Loss Month, the med spa will host workshops., offer free consultations, and launch awareness campaigns aimed at educating younger audiences about healthy weight care.

In November, during the week of Thanksgiving, Anderson will spearhead a “Feed the Hungry” drive , distributing food and health kits to Detroit’s most at-risk neighborhoods. December marks the debut of her newest product, a trademarked, FDA-approved Vitamin D3 supplement designed to strengthen her growing line of wellness solutions.
