Dr. Melody Hayes, affectionately known as the Date Dr., is a mental health specialist, entrepreneur, and the visionary Founder of the She Is Global Awards. Created to honor powerful women making an impact around the world, the first celebration will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Dr. Hayes is a dynamic Woman of God whose grace and authenticity shine through everything she does. Alongside her work in mental health, she is also the founder of A Glass of Love, a wine brand that celebrates connection and shared moments.
When asked what inspired the She Is Global Awards, Dr. Hayes reflects on her journey of perseverance and divine purpose. “In 2017, I had the inspiration to start an awards event for ladies in Atlanta. I was truly inspired to honor such prestigious women across Georgia. As the saying goes, it’s wise to recognize those who labor among you,” she shared. “That first event, however, was an epic fail. I was devastated and literally wanted nothing to do with it. But God has a way of turning pain into purpose.”
After years of growth and reflection, Dr. Hayes felt called to try again. “She Is came to me last year, and I felt beyond ready to try again. God said, ‘Yes, but trust Me, it will work out for your greater good.’ I pushed forward, even more inspired, to see the vision unfolding exactly as He intended. This journey has given me the wind beneath my wings to honor amazing women in different categories. I believe this event will make a mighty impact, leaving a lasting impression on women’s hearts across the globe.”
Balancing her dual passions of mental health and entrepreneurship requires intention and discipline. “As an entrepreneur and mental health specialist, both of which are truly my passions, I make sure to schedule my time so that balance is evenly maintained between the two. I ensure that both of my brands receive the quality and excellence they deserve,” she explained.
As the debut She Is Global Awards approaches, guests can look forward to an unforgettable experience. “She Is this year marks the launch of its brand. Guests will experience a wonderful day of bonding, building, and fostering new relationships, all while enjoying an atmosphere of elegance and inspiration,” said Dr. Hayes.
Her wine brand, A Glass of Love, also carries a heartfelt message that reflects her core values. “A Glass of Love is love in every sip. We crafted this brand to create memorable moments shared with your significant other, friends, and family. Everyone who has tasted our wines loves their unique flavors and the meaningful names we’ve chosen for each. My husband and I are always overjoyed knowing that, through our brand, we’ve touched someone’s heart that day.”
Faith remains the guiding force behind everything she does. “I realize it’s about how I live my life daily—my actions and how I position myself as a woman of faith. This requires cultivating a relationship with God and building my life in Him every day. Doing so allows me to be the best version of myself, so I can serve and lead in the way He has called me, using the blessings He has given me. I’m beyond humbled and grateful for what has transpired in my life to this day.”
