Francine F. Forbes: Healing Boldly, Living Fully

Francine F. Forbes, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is more than a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she’s a force of nature.

As the founder of BEPURBOLD™ and The Francine F. Forbes Foundation, Francine blends her clinical expertise with an unwavering passion for whole-body wellness.

Her mission? To help people, especially women and professionals, heal boldly and reclaim their purpose.

Drawing from her own journey through anxiety and self-doubt, Francine built BEPURBOLD™ not just as a brand, but as a movement. Through coaching, retreats, and wellness tools, she inspires transformation, resilience, and courage. Her nonprofit foundation expands that mission globally, focusing on youth empowerment, health equity, and education in Jamaica and beyond.

And she’s just getting started. Francine is preparing for the release of her debut book, A Woman’s Journey to Whole Body Wellness: Think, Act and Be Bold, along with a powerful 2025 lineup of wellness workshops and pop-up events across the Caribbean and U.S.

When asked what inspired her path to becoming a nurse practitioner, Francine shares that the calling was in her blood. Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, she initially set her sights on medical school. But after her aunt and cousin—both respected RNs—encouraged her to try nursing, she discovered a passion that kept pulling her back to the classroom until she earned her master’s and advanced into psychiatric care.

But the seeds were planted much earlier. Even at 11 years old, adults and peers confided in her, trusting her with their deepest truths. She had a gift for holding space, understanding emotions, and offering clarity—long before she had a title. “Becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner wasn’t just a career move—it was a calling,” she says. “I merged clinical skill with emotional intelligence, and now I help people heal from the inside out.”

When it comes to work-life balance, Francine flips the script. For her, balance isn’t a perfect 50/50—it’s alignment. She builds her days around what fuels her physically, emotionally, and spiritually: breath work, prayer, meditation, and a fierce commitment to training like an athlete.

“Movement is medicine for me,” she explains. “When I push my body, I realign my mind. Balance isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing what recharges you. And I protect those non-negotiables like my peace depends on it—because it does.”

Francine’s work is a reminder that healing isn’t just about surviving—it’s about thriving boldly, unapologetically, and with purpose.
