Reset Fest Returns to Atlanta This May to Celebrate Mental Health with Joy, Culture, and Community in Partnership with Paramount+ The Chi

ATLANTA, GA – May 2025 — Mental Health Awareness Month takes on new life in Atlanta as Reset Fest returns for its highly anticipated second year. Hosted by the wellness platform Black Female Therapists (BFT), this one-day immersive event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Ambient Studios, transforming healing into a joyful, culture-rich experience.

Spearheaded by licensed therapist and BFT founder Amber Dee, Reset Fest was born from a deeply personal journey. After struggling to find a therapist who looked like her, Dee set out to change the landscape of mental health care for Black women. “We wanted to create something that makes mental health feel joyful, affirming, and rooted in culture,” she says. “The Reset Fest is what that looks like in real life.”

Statistically, Black women are twice as likely to experience major depression but half as likely to seek treatment compared to white women. The reasons often lie in cultural stigma, lack of access, and feelings of isolation. Reset Fest challenges that narrative, offering a vibrant, affirming space where Black women are encouraged to prioritize their mental, emotional, and social wellness in community.

What began in 2018 as a digital platform to connect Black women with culturally competent therapists has evolved into a full-fledged lifestyle brand. Black Female Therapists now offers affirmations, engaging content, wellness events, and bold conversations around mental health. Reset Fest is the in-person embodiment of that mission—inviting attendees to breathe, reset, and rise.

This year, Reset Fest is presented in proud partnership with Paramount’s The Chi, the critically acclaimed drama series that centers on love, healing, and transformation in Chicago’s South Side. With its themes of connection and resilience, The Chi aligns seamlessly with the spirit of Reset Fest. Fans can catch Season 7 streaming May 16 exclusively on the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan.

Highlights from Reset Fest 2025 include:

Therapy Speed Dating with licensed professionals for quick, impactful connections The Feelings Booth, where attendees can release, vent, and check in with themselves in real time Panel Conversations exploring topics like anxiety, boundaries, healing, and cultural dynamics Wellness Pop-Ups from Black-owned brands promoting self-care and holistic health The Wellness Lounge, featuring massages, nail art, and DIY mocktail stations Interactive Brand Activations, exploring the intersection of beauty, storytelling, and mental well-being
