Wearing Many Hats, Walking in Purpose: Kandy Rose on Faith, Finance, and Empowering Women

As a business owner, author, educator, and mentor, Kandy Rose has carved out a path defined by purpose, resilience, and a deep passion for helping others thrive. Whether leading a financial workshop, coaching aspiring entrepreneurs, or speaking at events, her mission is clear: empower others to own their financial journey and embrace every role they carry with grace and confidence.

“I’ve always believed in leading by example,” Kandy shares. “That means being open about the wins—and the mistakes—so others can learn, grow, and avoid the pitfalls I faced.”

For Kandy, business and finance aren’t just professional interests—they’re personal. As someone who understands firsthand the power of financial literacy, she’s committed to equipping others with the tools to succeed. Her Tax School and Mentorship Program have become safe spaces for people eager to launch businesses, many of whom never received the support or guidance they needed to get started.

“I’ve never believed in gatekeeping knowledge,” she says firmly. “If I have the information to help someone grow, I’m going to share it. Watching people transform from uncertain to confident entrepreneurs is what fuels my purpose.”

Balancing It All with Grace: The Message Behind the Book

In her latest book, A Woman of Many Hats: Balancing Life’s Roles with Grace and Success, Kandy Rose shares her own story of navigating life as a wife, mother, stepmother, entrepreneur, and more. The book was born from a deeply personal season of reflection after her divorce—one that forced her to examine whether wearing “too many hats” had cost her something in return. Through faith and self-discovery, Kandy found clarity.

The book delivers three powerful takeaways:

• You can do it all—but balance doesn’t mean perfection. Challenges are inevitable, but perseverance and grace keep you grounded.

• It’s okay to ask for help. Delegation is strength, not weakness. It allows you to focus on what matters and avoid burnout.

• Never forget the Me Hat. Prioritizing self-care is essential. You can’t pour into others if your own cup is empty.

“This book is a reminder that women don’t have to choose between success and family, between ambition and rest,” Kandy affirms. “With the right tools, you can thrive in all your roles.”

A Big Vision for 2025: Collaboration, Growth & Financial Empowerment

If 2024 was a year of foundation, 2025 is Kandy Rose’s year of restoration and elevation—and she’s stepping into it with boldness, faith, and unstoppable energy.

One of her most anticipated moments is Make Her Ready Ignites: A Woman of Many Hats Brunch—an electrifying event co-hosted with the Make Her Ready organization. Taking place in vibrant New Orleans, this brunch promises to be more than just a gathering. It’s a spirit-filled, sisterhood-driven celebration of purpose, healing, and empowerment.

“I want women to walk away ignited—to feel seen, supported, and equipped to walk confidently in every role they carry,” Kandy says.

Kandy is also entering a powerful new season of business growth through her partnership with Honorable Daren Pernell. Together, they’re launching InHands Financial Services, a trailblazing firm specializing in everything from tax prep and notary services to bookkeeping and business formation.

And that’s not all. 2025 will also mark the debut of the InHands Financial Literacy App and Financial Board Game—two innovative tools designed to revolutionize how individuals and families understand money.

“Our mission is simple,” Kandy says. “Educate, empower, and elevate. We want people to know how money works, how to manage it, and how to make it work for them.”

Kandy will also be a featured panelist at the Glambitious Brunch during Essence Festival Weekend on July 6th—a space where powerhouse women come together to share, support, and shine.

“My goal is to pour into the room,” she says. “To be real, transparent, and encouraging. If I can spark confidence or inspire even one woman to keep going, then I’ve done what I came to do.”

Through every chapter of her life and every role she takes on, Kandy Rose leads with purpose and compassion. Whether mentoring tax professionals, writing books, or launching apps, her message remains the same: you don’t have to choose between your dreams and your responsibilities—you just need support, strategy, and faith.

“Every woman wears many hats,” she says. “But when you wear them with intention, with faith, and with grace, you can live a life that is not only successful—but deeply fulfilling.”
