Essential oils are used to heal our bodies, mind, and spirit. Like conventional medicines such as pills, essential oils too have a specific job that will attack a wound or disease while providing strength and support to the person who’s in pain. Here are a few household essential oils and their natural healing properties.

Tea Tree Oil is antiseptic and can fight many different bacterial infections as well as having anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. This is great for ring worms and athletes foot. Some common uses for tea tree essential oil are for colds and flu, thrash, herpes, and skin irritations.

Eucalyptus Oil also has great antiseptic properties. This will blend well with a hot bath or shower because of its steam inhalation. Eucalyptus is extremely helpful for the nervous system. It can be used to treat tiredness, headaches, and mucus or congestion.

Peppermint Oil is more of a cooling stimulant. The body will increase circulation in response to the cooling feeling when placed on the skin. Some common uses for peppermint oil are for nausea, muscle pains, and deodorant.

Lavender Oil is very versatile. It balances well with most oils while adding a calming reviving effect. Lavender is great to use in foot baths especially mixed with jasmine oil. Lavender oil is good to use for first- aid and wounds, stress and tension, and an insect repellant.

Essential oils are one of the biggest forms of natural medicine and healthcare. It’s also a excellent start for starting a holistic journey. If you’re new or have any helpful pointers drop a comment so we can chat!
