Take a Look into the Pretty Thug World of Alabama’s Own: Bianca Clarke

Hailing from Mobile, AL is the Queen Bee of the South, Bianca Clarke.  The rapper, singer and songwriter is quickly climbing the charts like no other.  Her pretty thug sound is unique to music lovers and gives vibes of sweet, soulful sounds of day to day reality.  Bianca spits fire that is relatable to her life in Alabama.  Her music career began with her roots in the church.

“My Aunt made me sing solos once my sister went off to college.  I had to sing every Sunday and we had to go to church about 2-3 times every Sunday.  So I got comfortable with performing in front of people,” says Bianca of her musical roots.

Her talent didn’t end with the church either.  Bianca went on to learn classical music and even how to read sheet music.  From there she took her talents to the Art Institute of Atlanta to complete her collegiate studies. Bianca Clarke is definitely well versed in music.  Despite this soulful beginning in music, she once thought that she would have a career in basketball.  Her talents ranged to the courts as well but her love for music overpowered her hoop dreams.

Recently, we’ve seen that Bianca was accepted into the Recording Academy.  That’s major!  The Pretty Thug of the South is blazing her way to stardom.  “This allows me to attend the Grammys ceremony, vote and make nominations,” says Clarke.  This new accomplishment is her first step to gracing the stage at the Grammys or even being nominated one day.

She isn’t stopping there either!  Bianca just signed a major deal with Universal Music Group.  Her work ethic is unmatched and she is rapidly hailing to the top.  Her new single, “Love It” featuring Yung Bleu is fire too and a video will be coming soon.  I’m sure that she will soon share the mic with some of her favorite artists like Monica, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane and Missy Elliott as well.  Her starpower is killing the game.  Bianca is truly letting her #BlackGirlMagic shine from the streets to the booth.

“Hard work, consistency and character go a long way,” reflects Bianca on her industry experience.

She’s seen a lot and learned many new things.  She even has advice for aspiring artists.

  • Stay true to yourself.
  • Always be your biggest motivator.
  • Go hard for yourself even when others don’t.
  • Live your dream.

Bianca’s artistry is positively fueled by giving live performances for shows as well.  “It’s fun to me and I’m ready to get back at it,” she says of being on stage.  Although she’s not on center stage, she’s still making waves and spreading her voice for justice.  COVID is not stopping this chart-topping artist from joining in recent social justice protests and rallies to fight against racism.  She’s a beast and her #PrettyThugMagic is spreading like wildfire.  Bianca Clarke’s music can be found on all music platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Pandora and YouTube.  You can also connect with her on social media and on her online website
