A Shopping Experience Which Is Iconic

Brandon Faulcon and daughter are the founders of the iKon Mall, a free, interactive 3D shopping mall app. Brandon is no stranger to overcoming obstacles while going from concept to creation of the iKon mall. After all, they are the cost of greatness. One of the major obstacles he faced was comprehending what it would take to bring their vision to life since he had no clue how to begin. It was a lot easier to transition from concept to creation once he acquired the necessary knowledge as a foundation

T.D. Jakes once said, “Taking responsibility for your own success must be foundational if you are to succeed as an entrepreneur.”

Brandon was willing to sacrifice time, money, and comfort and that was instrumental in funding his daughter Karmen’s dream. Along with investing over $30,000 in the business venture, he also gave the iKon app his undivided attention for over a year. This meant secluding himself from the outside world, friends and even family. After leaving his day job, he would come home and dive headfirst into the business 7 days a week. Due to his laser focus, the Coronavirus pandemic didn’t change his day to day operations.  Brandon has persevered in spite of battling PTSD, anxiety, and sleep apnea to derail his goals. One way he combats PTSD is by always being conscious of his surroundings.

What is iKon Mall?

There are over 600 unique stores within the iKon mall. These stores are both product and service-based that appeal to a broad audience.  The purpose of the app is to help the businesses deliver excellent customer service while still providing them with autonomy. The iKon mall gives the consumer options beyond the scroll, click and purchase experience. It allows the consumer to enjoy the scenery and see the brand visually. In the event that technical difficulties arise the iKon app development team has a sound backup plan in place to ensure that the consumer shopping experience is not interrupted.

As parents, we often don’t realize just how much we influence our children from an early age. Brandon not only realizes his influence but ensures that he is planting seeds into his daughter that will produce an abundant harvest.  Brandon and Karmen take a father/daughter trip to Disney World annually.  While there they unplug from their phones so that they can be fully immersed in the moment. At dinner one night while on vacation Brandon asked his daughter, what she wanted to be when she grew up? She responded that she wanted to own a beauty salon but not in the traditional sense.

Brandon wanted to ensure that her vision would be valuable to her. Also the community and the world once she became of age to take sole proprietorship. As a result, he suggested that his daughter incorporated multiple businesses within the app. His daughter loved the concept and the work began.

While in the U.S. Marine Corp Brandon learned how to become a better man, how to be a part of a team and leadership skills which have assisted him on his entrepreneurial journey.  Brandon believes that each experience we have in life helps us in some way in the future. Brandon would advise aspiring entrepreneurs to believe in themselves, strive towards your end goal daily, and keep the vision in the forefront of your mind. If you think about your dream morning noon and night you know that you are on the right track. Your dream shouldn’t dwindle if those around you do not support you.

The iKon mall business venture was created a year prior to the pandemic’s existence and has had many launch dates, yet Brandon would push the launch date back because he wanted to offer more. The timing of the virtual e-commerce app seems perfect with the pandemic, fall season, and holiday season approaching.
