What does the name & brand Opulence Wellness mean to you?
The name “Opulence Wellness” holds great significance, “Opulence” signifies Luxury, Abundance, and richness reflecting the high-quality experience we provide. “Wellness” emphasizes our dedication to holistic health & self-care. The brand encapsulates a harmonious blend of indulgence and well-being, which is at the heart of our philosophy.
What is one tip you would share freely to help in the anti-aging process?
One tip I would gladly share is the importance of consistent sunscreen use. Regardless of skin tone, protection from the sun’s UV rays is key to preventing premature aging. Regularly applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen helps maintain youthful skin and prevent sun damage.
Many people of color tend to defy the aging process somewhat naturally. What are some factors you feel contribute to this?
People of color are fortunate to have higher levels of melanin in their skin, which acts as a natural defense against UV radiation. Melanin helps protect the skin from sun damage, slowing down the formation of wrinkles and fine lines. Additionally, the increased collagen and elastin content in melanated skin contributes to its resilience and youthful appearance.
What is one of your favorite treatments to administer & why?
One of my favorite treatments to administer is chemical peels. They offer remarkable results for improving skin texture, addressing hyperpigmentation, & promoting an overall radiant complexion. Witnessing the transformation in my clients’ skin & their boosted self-confidence is incredibly rewarding.

I attend industry conferences, and workshops, and engage in ongoing education to keep up with the latest trends and breakthroughs. Moreover, we invest in advanced technology and maintain collaborations with industry leaders, ensuring our clients receive top-notch, cutting-edge treatments.
Tell us a little about your journey to creating your wellness oasis.
Creating Opulence Wellness & Med Spa was a deeply personal journey rooted in my passion for holistic wellness. I wanted to provide a space where people of all backgrounds, especially those with melanated & diverse skin tones, could access personalized treatments in a luxurious environment. It involved meticulous planning, assembling a skilled team, and designing a sanctuary that promotes transformation & well-being.
Have you seen an increase in male clientele? If so, what do you attribute that to?
Yes, there has been a notable increase in male clients seeking services. I attribute this to evolving perceptions of self-care. Men are recognizing that caring for their skin and appearance is not exclusive to women and can significantly boost their confidence. Our treatments offer a personalized approach that caters to the unique skincare needs of men.
What would you say to a male who may feel that skincare is only a female concern or may be reluctant to visit the spa?
Skincare is universal and transcends gender. Just as everyone cares about their health, taking care of one’s skin is an essential aspect of self-care. Our spa offers a welcoming environment where men can address their specific skincare concerns and benefit from treatments tailored to their needs, ultimately boosting their confidence & well-being.
