Today you will find more and more people switching over to the Vegan lifestyle. While some of us are still craving a good old fashioned beef burger loaded with our favorite toppings, our staff member Tanisha Davis decided to venture out and experiment with an all plant based burger from the popular, Slutty Vegan Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia!
Here is what she had to share about her experience!
“Before arriving of course I did my research online and per reviews it mentioned to expect a long line. Of course long lines usually just mean the place has to be popping! So me and my fellow friend from New York decided to try two different burgers on the menu. I had the “One Night Stand” and he had the “Dancehall Queen”. I absolutely love the names they have for each meal which basically represent the business name itself, Slutty Vegan.
Let me say after a very nice wait in line which of course moved pretty swift, we were greeted happily by one of the cashiers who sounded off a few samples from the song “Panda” lol by Rapper Desiigner. That was pretty interesting.
So by now I’m pretty hyped up along with my friend as the guy announces we are virgins lol to the spot. Before I speak on the food, let me add that the closest thing I have had to what is considered a plant based burger was Burger King’s Impossible Whopper.
So how was my first experience eating this juicy $15 burger from Slutty Vegan outside of eating BK’s $6 “Impossible Whopper”….??!!!
I will say that I’m not personally quite ready for the vegan life which of course is NO SHAME to the restaurant!
It’s just not my thing quite yet and that’s only because I still love the taste of real bacon on my burger and good old seasoned beef. I plan to keep giving this journey a try and hopefully at some point I can be persuaded to fully make that switch. However if you are ever in the ATL, and you are looking for a Vegan burger, I recommend you give them a try!”
