Who is Eryn Lanaie?

I am a 25-year-old R&B/HipHop artist from Phoenix, Arizona. I am a singer, rapper, and an overall lyricist.

When did you realize that your gift of singing was also your passion?

I didn’t realize my gift of singing was also my passion until a few years ago actually. I was always a better rapper than I was a singer; but after teaching myself specific vocal skills and developing my own personal sound, it became evident my gift was much bigger than just being a great songwriter and rapper.

Tell us about your new Single, ‘Patience’.

“Patience” is a song I wrote from a place of healing. It’s sort of like a personal letter in a way—a personal letter about self-worth, self-love, and an ode to self-confidence in relationships.

What are your top 3 dream collaborations?

My top 3 dream collaborations are Kehlani, Chris Brown, & SZA.

What’s been a favorite experience (or two) this year, while living out your dreams?

My favorite experience this year while living out my dreams has been meeting my fans in person and making new fans. My second favorite experience definitely has to be hearing the whole crowd sing my lyrics during my set in my hometown, that was crazy.

Who would you say musically influenced you as a child?

As a child, my musical influences were all over the place. To name a few: Left Eye, Slick Rick, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Tupac, Eazy-E, Dr.Dre, Fantasia, Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child, Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, honestly too many to name for sure.

What’s up next for Eryn Lanaie?

Next, I’m shifting my focus back to the music, which started it all. I have a couple of singles to release before my next EP and from there I plan to go back on the road and give my fans an even better experience this time around.
