It’s no secret that for years female artists have been setting the bar with the BARS! From lyrical wordplay to fashion creativity; but what happens when the bars crisscross with fashion, creativity, and body? You get Amy Luciani, a dope female lyricist straight out of Detroit, MI’s trenches. Recently while promoting her new projects, Amy sat down with FEMI’s own Mo Clark to discuss a lot. From break-ups to build-ups.
FEMI Magazine: We’ve been following your career for a while now, so the first question we have to ask is what made you decide to join the cast of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta?
Amy: I love the direction the franchise is going in because they are beginning to bring the focus back to hip-hop itself with a lot of coverage on the music this season. With how I am growing my brand as an artist, I felt this platform was a great way to leverage that, so the fans can see more of who I am as an artist and my passion for music.
FEMI Magazine: Who are some of your favorite musical inspirations and who do you look forward to working with?
Amy: I would have to start off with Missy Elliott. Her creativity is next level and it’s always been a dream of mine to work with her.
I’m also inspired by Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, and Cardi B and I love women in hip-hop in general, so I’m a big fan of women doing their thing in this rap game!
This year, I’d also love to do a record with JT from the City Girls.
