Baxley, Georgia native, Bri Trilla, has been the talk of the internet and she doesn’t plan on slowing down. Trilla has been making music for the last ten years and dropped her debut mixtape “TrillaSexy Cool” in April 2022. However, her single “Big Mood” is what caught the attention Ari Fletcher, Glo Rilla, Lakeyah, Jayda Cheavesand JT of City Girls when she stated posting her song on TikTok and Instagram. Bri Trilla strategically markets her music on social media which grew her following. She now has 4.6M+ global streams, 56,000 monthly listeners, and 355.4M+ TikTok views.

As soon as notable music executives inquired about the song, BriTrilla knew her music would carry weight. Bri’s performances and tour bookings began to pick up after the single.

We got a chance to chop it up with Bri Trilla to see what inspired Big Mood and the pressure she faces in a male-dominated industry.

What was your inspiration behind your hit Big Mood?

A close friend of mine was telling me a story about how a friend of hers at the time did some grimy things to her over a guy … it also comes from a personal space of coming out of a 7-year relationship and how moving on completely changed my life for the better. My mood was in that exact mind frame.

What made you feel the need to express these emotions through music?

Music is therapeutic for me. If it heals me, it can heal others, especially women. I’ve always expressed myself through music, and I think Big Mood hit a different target audience.
