Let’s Talk Season 2 Finale of HARLEM

Let’s just say we are hoping to see Harlem around for many seasons! We are in love with the cast and the diversity in the show. We get to discover some amazing successful black women on a journey to self-discovery and love. They are learning what they truly want in life and how to go after those things even if it means a few bumps in the road and experiencing humility. I’m sure there is a woman who can relate to each lady on the show in some way. We also love that you get to see these ladies live unapologetically! It’s the mistakes and then going back and fixing them even if it means looking bad! The chemistry as friends is beautiful as well. They love one another and when one is hurting, they all come together to do what it takes to make sure that friend gets back on her shine!

We see them fight for love, run from love and even wonder if they deserve love! It’s all around an amazing show and if you have not been watching then you are definitely missing out.

I love how the ladies came together when they saw that their friend Quinn (Grace Byers) was not okay. These girls got together and took a flight and had a Girl’s Trip to make sure her spirits were lifted. You don’t see that happen too much today, especially with so many overlooking the signs of Depression and its impact on those who seem to have it all together.

We love that Angie (Shoniqua Shanai) has not been hesitant at all on satisfying her personal desires, or sexual needs met by any man she felt was worth it. I feel she is showing that if the men can do it, then so can the ladies, so she is motivating a lot of women to step out of their shells and do whatever they want and stop worrying about what anyone thinks about it. The glory in all of that is after having her fair share of fun, she finally runs into that man who makes her want to drop all cards and give love a try. I mean how do you know you have found the one if you don’t get out there and date enough men to find out who is best for you?! That’s a takeaway from the life of Queen Angie. I wonder if her character is a Leo or Scorpio?

Camille ( Meagan Good) gives me Pisces vibes, she is a lover, and at times undecisive because she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. She has a hard time speaking up for herself because at times she just wants everyone to be happy, even if it means overlooking her own wants. So we see her fight to stand up for herself and fight for what her heart wants even if it comes off looking bad. She chases down the man she loves and lets him know how she feels the day before his wedding. A bold move but why let the love of your life get away?! Sometimes she is unsure of who to give her love to so she ends up in situations with those she honestly doesn’t truly love but for the sake of being nice, she tries it and it leads to the other person getting hurt. We saw that between her and Jameson (Sullivan Jones). Let me add that I felt he was a really sweet boyfriend but you can’t help who your heart wants no matter how sweet a person is. So we learned from Camille to go after what you want honey, no matter how it makes you look to others because this is your life!

If you tuned in to the finale then you were left on the edge of your seat! One of the cast members on the show Meagan Good shared her thoughts on that last episode.

“When we got this final reveal of the last episode, we literally were like, ‘Which one of us is it?'” Good told EW during an interview at the SCAD TVfest in Atlanta. Johnson added that “the writers are very tight-lipped,” but the actress has a clear idea of what she absolutely does not want to happen.

“I can say I do not want it to be Tye,” she said, looking into the camera for emphasis. “Tye has been through enough!” As her co-stars protested (“I want it to be Tye!” said Good), Oliver maintained her Sphinx-like silence — so fans will have to wait until (the yet-to-be-announced) season 3 to find out which leading lady will be playing pregnant.

The stars of Harlem are Camille (Meagan Good), Angie (Shoniqua Shanai), Tye (Jerrie Johnson), and Quinn (Grace Byers). I will honestly say that I personally am rooting for it to be Camille (Meagan Good) simply because she is worried that she can’t have a baby and I do not want to see the relationship between her and Ian (Tyler Lepley) come to an end. They have been through too much. Let’s keep hope alive with them!

I think it would bring some much-needed spice to the show and make all of us believe in the impossibility of beautiful things happening for the sake of love!

Of course, we know that Angie has a new man, but it would be way too soon for her to be popping up pregnant even though we saw the quick proposal. Quinn is still on a journey to self-love so we definitely don’t want to bring a halt to that by giving her a baby, it would be way too stressful for her. We need to see Quinn healing which is what so many women need to do in between bad breakups.

And lastly, our girl Tye is even finding her way, and who is getting her pregnant, an ex-husband? Did they have a moment that we didn’t see on the show? That would be a fun twist and I don’t think she would be down for that.

So if it’s Camille in Season 3 then just know I was the first to say that I was rooting for it to be her! We are looking forward to more seasons of Harlem because they deliver in every episode and we are here for it because they speak to the reality of our everyday life. A beautiful show from the creator and executive producer Tracy Oliver.

Harlem is like the girlfriends, the sisters, the besties…. we all wish we had! Cheers on another great Season and on to the next because we are ready!
