How Can We Protect Our Kids in School?

We are still truly devastated by the news about the Robb Elementary school shooting in Texas last week. It is even more disturbing to know that according to new reports, local police initially told federal agents to wait before going in to help the children and confront the shooter. More information has surfaced stating that a teacher propped a back door open prior to the shooter entering through that same door to the school.

NBC News reports two senior federal law enforcement officials claim federal agents waited 30 minutes after their arrival at the school before deciding to enter the building!

Now we are not sure what the protocol is but why on earth would you make law enforcement wait to go in to take down a killer? The thoughts of these poor babies whose lives could have possibly been saved had they acted fast enough just blows my mind.

This makes us wonder, are our kids really safe now in the schools, because if law enforcement can’t guarantee their safety then who can?

19 children and two adults were killed. Our prayers go out to those families because it’s no real words for helping someone cope with the loss of a child.

Let us know in the comments how you feel about what happened and if you still feel safe with your kids in school.
