Jazmin the great is no stranger to the fashion & skincare games. She has become in fact, a very well respected & World-renowned leader & trusted expert in the beauty community. As a man who was raised by women, I have grown to greatly admire the beauty & strength they possess both inside & out. I have gained this in an even deeper measure after my interview with Jazmin. Although, she was already a
successful fashion designer as could be evidenced by her line of luxury fashion fur coats Life of G.O.D.s which was launched in 2017 garnered her much critical acclaim by being worn by the likes of high-profile celebrities such as American Idol icon Fantasia Barrino & Mega Producer / Reality television star

However, this was only the beginning for her. Not being one to rest on her laurels she decided to branch out even further by launching the luxury vegan skincare spa in Atlanta, Georgia becoming the first female African- American spa owner of this kind in the process. I really enjoyed our chat and I know that you will

FEMI: How important is it to have a proper skin care regimen for men?
Jazmin: Believe it or not, men deal with the same skin care problems (as we do) such
as Unwanted Break Outs & Clogged Pores, etc. Having a skincare regimen that is
“tailored to you is essential “if you want to treat any of those skincare problems or
simply maintain youthful-looking skin.
FEMI: Do you have any products specifically created and designed for Men?
Jazmin: Yes, one of the most common issues men struggle with is ingrown facial
hair and clogged pores. We created a vegan granular face & body scrub that helps
exfoliate the dry dead skin that prevents facial hair from coming through, it is
accompanied by a face and body spin brush.
FEMI: How does it feel to be the first black woman to own/ operate a Vegan
medical spa in Atlanta?
Jazmin: Honestly, it feels amazing to be able to help and educate my community
about their skin issues and concerns. I am grateful that my clients trust me with
their skincare journey, and I hope to pave the way for other cities such as Atlanta.
FEMI: Can you describe for our readers a time when you had to overcome
specific adversity to launch your business?
Jazmin: I do not dwell on adversities since it was something I wanted to do; I had my
mindset on getting to the finish line.
FEMI: During that time what do you credit for giving you the strength to keep
pushing through despite the challenge?
Jazmin: “I do everything for my son “He is what gets me through the rough times.
FEMI: Is Veganism a lifestyle choice for you as a whole or was it plainly important
to have a cruelty-free skincare line?
Jazmin: I love to apply everything I learn in life and piece it all together to create a
full & healthy lifestyle for myself. There are a lot of health-conscious things one
can apply from others that choose to live a completely vegan lifestyle without
completely converting.
FEMI: What is one piece of advice you can give to black or brown women that
aspire towards entrepreneurship such as yourself as well?
Jazmin: My advice to black and brown women such as myself that aspire to be
entrepreneurs are “The most expensive tax you will pay in life is the ignorance tax,”
“you pay more when you do not know. So please always take the time to learn, ask
questions, and find the correct answers when it comes to running a business,
keeping your business financials in order, building your business line of credit, etc.
FEMI: What was it like making the expansion from the fashion industry to skincare?
Jazmin: The fashion industry is an entirely different world; shifting from that to skincare at one point was a challenge only because the demographic is different, the
the way you advertise and run a spa can be a lot more conservative and meticulous I
love challenging myself and forever evolving into a better version of myself, so
although it was rough in the beginning I understand the way things work in the
medical beauty and spa sector.
FEMI: How important is the Juice Bar component to the overall skincare regime
as a whole?
Jazmin: What you ingest in your body is extremely important and has a direct effect
on your overall health. By drinking one of our juices, you can easily get a lot of the
nutrients and vitamins you need daily. We offer various drinks that help with
immunity, energy, & even weight loss.
FEMI: Who/what would you say inspires you?
Jazmin: Evolving inspires me. I love watching people that are now the best in their
field that was once just an everyday person with a dream trying to make it come
true.
FEMI: Why was it important to shift the focus of the spa to more plant-based & do
a grand reopening?
Jazmin: The idea of focusing more on plant-based services and products started
during the pandemic when I had the time to slow down and study alternative ways
to treat the skin & body in a healthier & natural way. I personally witnessed how
the changes my family & I made by juicing and using natural products increased
our energy and changed our skin & body.
FEMI: In conclusion, what do you feel is the next natural progression for Jazmin
the great & brands?
Jazmin: Right now, I am truly focused on mastering the “Skin Vegan Experience,”
once I have honestly accomplished that I feel it will be time to expand into opening
more locations & creating various vegan home & body products.
