What attracted you to entrepreneurship?

Exchange for my help with her clients. I have the enthusiasm and the power to create whatever I am ready to visualize and operate. Bottom line, I need financial balance, so at the tender age of 12, I asked to be instructed to braid and style hair to help many of her clients, and in current times, I still do braid her with my clients. I still braid hair to this day. And then, at the age of 14, she started her own cleaning business, which included cleaning wealthy people’s homes. Shen then realized that cleaning houses was more difficult than braiding hair. At the age of 16, she got the first corporate job she had always had and created a way to make money that wasn’t a higher standard.

What is the first step an entrepreneur can take to build a business relationship?

So, many people begin with their passion and say things like, “I’m so inspired, I would like to make it into an imitate business. That’s not a precisely intelligent way to start. What you should always start with thinking:

“This is a problem that I am good at solving,”

You only have a business if you’re solving a problem. If your business isn’t solving a problem, then you don’t have a business; you honestly have a hobby and don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Hobbies are great. However, hobbies Depend on what type of hobby it is, and it doesn’t nearly make money consistently, so if you want to start a business first, you need to figure out what problem you need to like to solve. And secondly, think about how I am supposed to solve this problem better than some other individuals already in the marketplace. Those are generally your first two steps. This step opens the opportunity for people to see and treat you over someone else.

To whom or what do you attribute your success?

Honestly, it’s me. I stay in ascending; there will always be a victory. However, my ability to desire is always significant and influential. I am always sturdy, and that has created all the distinction.

Knowing what you know now, is there anything you would have done; differently when starting?

I would’ve taken many advanced and focused on not doing a business because I needed to make money or follow my passion. I would’ve started my business on concentrate on solving a problem, and then I would’ve strictly hound down into what the solution is and who my start target was”

” Like whom my target market is, where’s my target market, and what problems I am solving for them.”

Overall, it would be different and save me a lot of time and years.

How did you decide where to establish your company?

This is Where a community of folks would tell you.

“How do I make money and price my services, and how do I come across specific clients and get the agreement to pay for it that assists my growing business? “

What challenges did you have to overcome at the beginning of your journey?

“Hey, when you’re at this level, this needs to be considered; when you’re at the following level, this is the amount you should charge, and this is where you can grow.”

Like everyone else, I had to figure out how I have people believe that I’m pretty on what I am good at that can earn hard earn dollars and connect that to my ability.

Also, this is where you can also network better and build better relationships so you can grow your business accordingly.

What does Women’s History Month do to you?

For me, women’s history month is always an opportunity and invitation to grow. So, it is a celebration of the past, but it’s also an opportunity to discover what it is that still has not grown or gotten into the place of what you would it to be. It’s a sole opportunity to see what I need to do or what I can do to assist and get there. It’s an opportunity.

Growing up, was there someone in your life that inspired you to become who you are today? Who was it, and why?

It was my grandfather, especially having to deal with living in a poverty-stricken environment; I saw a lot of the things that other individuals and communities with children like myself had complex living arrangements.

My mother created a business so that I would get a higher education.

I would have to see children living in a more expensive lifestyle where they had driven costly vehicles and even residing in positive and wealthy communities. I would go home to nothing of that sort.

Again, my grandfather took the time and invested in molding me, teaching me, and even introducing elements like Greek methodology and Roman history.

He had me memorize poems and even watch history films like roots and other things.

Every February, he would take me to the Yale club meeting and gradually have me travel with him out of the country for the first time. He continued to teach me and make me understand that. He also introduced me to a better understanding and plans in life, which allowed me to relearn beneath him.

” Just because you were born in a certain situation, it doesn’t mean you can’t work your way out of it.”

Overall, I’m very grateful and blessed by the awareness he had given me because it opened my eyes to the fact that there is more in life.

For example, I love opera, and I’m a black girl who enjoys opera, theatre, and ballet because it was somewhere he would take me and expand my arisen, so that was the gift he gave me.

Why did you become a founder in your brands and other establishments?

There was no other choice for me.

I knew I would be an entrepreneur and a rebel without a cause, no matter what.

So, generally, it was never a question for me, mainly because I am a problem solver, and I have no problem decoding them. So, it helps grow my multiple business and brands.

Why is it important that more women are represented in the lead roles?

I feel like women must decide that “hey, is what and where I will be and what I will have and be strategic about how it’s going to be accomplished.”

I don’t want to be in any situation and look at

“Oh, this is why this doesn’t work for me because I am a woman of color, a woman,”

I look at myself, saying that I’m transparent about what I can obtain. There is always a seat at the table for expansion, and I’m going to walk into every room and situation knowing that I will be changed.

” In regard to women, we are always in beauty and confidence, and it changes the game and being strategic about knowing that. “

I was also thinking.

“Hey, I will need advocates, and I’m going to need mentors, and I’m going to need sponsors who can bring me behind the gates or doors because sometimes you don’t even know there’s a door.”

” Also, there will be sponsors that can pinpoint the direction within the successful approach so you can fulfill greatness and be a mentor, advocate, and growing businesswoman. “

What advice would you give women in the growing industry you’re involved in?

” Be confident, be super clear, and even negotiate how to grow and sell. Because most people don’t know how to deal with an incontinent direction.”

But, again, gain confidence and be precise on what you’re marketing because no matter what industry you’re involved in, you must know how to deal with yourself, your brand, and your service to precisely get the negotiation you deserve.

What is something you’d like the next generation of girls and young women to know?

Indeed, they are powerful beyond belief, and if you don’t do anything else, try to figure out your confidence, intelligence, and drive to do well.
