Traci Braxton has passed away at the age of 50, from her private battle with cancer. The Braxton family issued a statement via Instagram shortly after her passing on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Traci Renee Braxton was a singer, reality television personality, radio personality, and actress. Her most important roles were that of a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, and child of God. Seeing her in action on screen she always seemed to be funny, feisty, caring, and real. She was talented and loved performing with her sisters. Her solo album “Crash & Burn” debuted in 2014, with the hit single “Last Call”. In 2018 she released her second album “On Earth”, which included the single “Broken Things” featuring her sisters Toni, Towanda, and Trina. The hit reality television show with We tv “Braxton Family Values” (2011-2020) followed the lives of the Braxton sisters and their family, as well as their careers. Some of Traci’s other work includes, “There’s a Stranger in my House” (stage play), “All In”, “The Christmas Lottery”, and “Sinners Wanted”.
Statement from the Braxton Family:
It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.
Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake.
We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life.
We are family forever.
Love,
The Braxton Family
Many people are sharing their condolences and paying their respects to the family online, and otherwise. Traci fought her battle in private and with grace. She was loved and admired by many, and always will be. We absolutely want to respect the family’s wishes and let them grieve the loss of their loved one, and we also want to show our love and support for Traci and the rest of the Braxton family. Our prayer is that God continues to bless and cover the Braxton family, especially in their time of mourning, and that He grants them peace beyond understanding in their time of need.
