I’m a fan of good television. Issa Rae is my best friend in my head. I am always looking for another good show to watch and to add to my future binge lists. I was ecstatic to do this interview with this pair of Extreme Sisters, Patrix and Patrica. These two are hailing from the state with the best peaches, Atlanta, GA. For these two, they are ready to share with the world why their bond is so special and unique.
Like all the siblings featured on the new TLC series, their definition of sisterly bonding is taken to a whole other level that others may find a bit much. That does not bother the sisters at all when it comes to their unconventional lifestyle. The two ladies definitely radiate confidence through the television screen. In the premiere episode, where we meet each of the siblings, Patrica lets us know that the two have a connection that others cannot understand.
The series features five siblings; all have an unconventional lifestyle with their siblings. As I learn more about the show, you can see how each sibling’s bond is so unique. For Patrix and Patrica, their bond started from birth. Their relationship goes to a deeper place as Patrica had to deal with bullying growing up. She was born missing a third of her fingers on her right hand. Having to deal with other people’s reactions did take a bit of a toll on her, especially at such a young age. Luckily, she had her sister around, who always felt like she was her sister’s protector. She has always been there for her sister to assist and has been the positive energy in her life she needed, allowing her to become the person she is today.
I got a chance to sit down with the two virtually and get some details on the show and get to know this dynamic duo better.
The ladies join me on the zoom call, looking as beautiful as ever. These ladies let me know that they do everything together. One of their favorite activities they like to do is dry brushing each other in the morning. Which is actually a pretty good exfoliating self-care activity. The sisters are also constantly in prayer together.
The sisters do not live together normally, but Patrix does spend more time at her sister’s house than her own apartment. Patrica has been married for 20 years and has three handsome sons. Ron, Patrica’s husband, came in and turned the dynamic duo into the Three Musketeers. Due to the extremely close relationship in the past, they have had experiences with dating where they have been too much for someone. Having someone in your life that accepts you for you is crucial when it comes to a relationship. Patricia lets us know that with her husband Ron, “has always been accepting of their relationship and that helps him out a lot.”
As the first season unfolds, the sisters let me know what we can look forward to. The series will showcase their family dynamic, how they love to be together, and how they empower and inspire each other. These ladies are already on their way to becoming reality show stars, but they are also entrepreneurs, authors, and podcast hosts. Their podcast, Talk to the Twins, airs every Tuesday at 7pm. The show is to empower and inspire.
They also currently have 3 books that are now out. The first publication, The Power of Prayer, was inspired by Patrica’s son, who had to have surgery and the recovery required additional attending to. Prayer got the family through the difficult time. The second publication is Meditation: Power of Prayer and they also released a daily planner.
The ladies are out here working. I can’t wait to see the season unfold and if we ever make it to Orlando!!
