I have regret to inform you that Atlanta, the FX comedy series. . . I am just kidding. So, guess what, fans of Donald Glover and Zazie Beetz? The FX’s multi-Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy series Atlanta will soon be returning with an expected start date of April 5, 2021, which was heavily delayed due to the pandemic. Currently, the cast is traveling to Europe on March 23 to shoot scenes for seasons 3 and 4. FX Chief John Landgraf stated that “Atlanta was set to air in January 2021 with Glover and his writing team completing the scripts early last summer; we are calling it the unexpected boon of quarantine.” Because COVID is still a serious issue, the availability to shoot scenes in certain places and simultaneously have the entire crew has been pushed back and time-delaying, therefore, leaving the production crew to try and shoot two seasons at once. In contrast, the seasons will not be entirely shot in Europe, one primarily in Atlanta. However, it is still good to know that Atlanta is starting back up, and we can once again see our favorite stars.
