If you’ve been following my latest reviews, you’ll notice I mentioned Prosper and the virus. My predictions were for Prosper to fall ill and contract the virus but while the story is still progressing, Hollywood paid a visit to his mother to find out she was omitted into the hospital and later died from the virus. Aunt Vi invited Prosper to stay with her and Hollywood so he wouldn’t feel so lonely.
Nova on the other hand has a new quarantine house guest. Calvin, Nova’s boyfriend’s daughter Courtney has asked to stay with them during the process. Things look to being going surprisingly smooth. Courtney seems to be different from her mother with her own rules and voice about gender roles in America just like Nova but the apple still doesn’t fall to far from the tree, Courtney is still her mother’s daughter and I can’t wait to see when that part of her character come out.
Charlie and her son Micah had a small, yet intense exchange of words during their recent argument about a voice message Micah received from her new “girl toy” asking if he’d be joining the party later. Charlie heard the message and reacted before she could think straight and insinuated that Micah was being unsafe, “like father, like son”. Micah with no words to say quietly left the house. Charlie later realized she’d crossed a line and apologized, she shared her story of being a mother in college and how hard it was for her but worth it nonetheless.
Ralph Angel has become one of my favorite characters, not only because he’s extremely easy on the eye but because he’s grown so much throughout each season. Ralph Angel is taking pride in his job as a janitor and has taking a liking to the residents at his place of employment. He’s realizing his strength and knows that family and love are the strongest traits a person can have. His love for Darla and their child is infinite despite all they’ve gone through. They’ve now moved their engagement to another level and are set to get married on the next episode.
I’m sure we’re all looking forward to see what’s to come on the next episode of Queen Sugar. So far this season is teaching us strength and acceptance. What are some of our predictions going forward? Leave us a comment and join in on the conversation!
