Eve Is Set to Return Back to Scripted Television

Eve is making her return to television with the ABC pilot Queens. Eve is a multi-platinum selling artist and a Daytime Emmy award winner as the co-host of The Talk on CBS. Many people remember Eve from her self-titled show on UPN in 2003 and the new scripted series will be her first since then.

According to Deadline, Zahir McGhee is the writer for the new ABC show and it is set to showcase four women in their 40s that reunite their 90’s Hip-Hop group “Nasty Bitches” in order to reinvent their fame. Eve’s character is Brianna, also known as Professor Sex, who rapped about sex, wealth, and luxury living. Brianna is now a mother of five and a wife but has no self-care time. Once Nasty Bitches is given a chance to reunite and perform, Brianna’s love for rap becomes an occurring thought and her confidence to rap is tested.

The show will be like Empire and Star when it comes to original recording and songs from the characters. Even though musically Eve has been under the radar, she recently has started a podcast entitled Constantly Evolving.

Many of her fans and the community are thrilled to see her again on screen and hear some new music as well.
