The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio. It was created to celebrate the culture and history of rock music and honors artists who have had an important role in music.
Recently, more Hip Hop and R&B artists have been nominated and inducted into the museum. Artists are eligible after 25 years of their first album release. Some artists in the museum include; James Brown, Notorious B.I.G., and Whitney Houston.
This year, the nominees include Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige, Dionne Warwick, and Chaka Khan. There is a total of 16 nominees as of now, however, the list will be cut down by May and the induction will be scheduled for the fall.
