This Is Why I Love You, Because You Loved Me

Poetry

This is why I love you, because despite my unintentional ability to make you a mad man or even to feel sad, you some how, some way still care for me. That is the beauty of we.

Others may call it toxic, but is it really such a thing, when the way we merge together in the heat of the moment feels like a Cinderella love story and we are the birds making our bodies sing. Stop it! We are a trending topic!

Yea I know this is far from some fairy tale created by a room full of writers, yet I see the potential between us if we would allow our egos to become a bit lighter.

I stare across the room watching you move from behind the lens and immediately I ask the Father to forgive me for my sins.

I yearn for you in a way that troubles me, it’s like if I can’t have you then why do you love me? Yet this is why I love you, because I can’t have you the way I want you to have me. Confusion.

In the late of the night I find myself thinking of you, I see myself embraced by your arms again and the soft warm yet wet kisses placed on my stomach and inner thighs and I suddenly am reminded of all the reasons why we belong.

You tell me if I’m wrong.

I let your words fall out and land in the sea because no matter what you say, I know you want me.

And this is why I love you, because its clear that you love me.

And this is why I won’t give up on you because you refuse to let go of me.
