From bartender to beauty boss, the visionary behind Secrets to Plush is redefining luxury, embracing reinvention, and creating a legacy that goes far beyond the beauty chair.
What happens when a woman decides to stop dreaming about her next chapter and starts creating it? You get a little beauty, a whole lot of ambition, and something undeniably PLUSH!
Meet Farrah, the beauty entrepreneur and visionary behind Secrets to Plush, a brand where confidence is the ultimate luxury and every woman deserves to feel like the main character.
But don’t let the glamorous name fool you. Behind the beauty, brows, and polished experiences is a woman whose journey has been anything but ordinary.
After spending more than 13 years behind the bar, Farrah traded cocktail shakers for beauty tools and stepped into an industry that would change her life. What began as a passion for brows in 2017 has blossomed into a growing beauty business rooted in empowerment, education, and community.
Through personal heartbreak, professional growing pains, and the beautiful unpredictability of entrepreneurship, Farrah has learned that building a successful brand isn’t simply about what you offer. It’s about how you make people feel, the opportunities you create, and the legacy you leave behind.
Now, with her daughter joining the business as co-owner and a new literary venture on the horizon, this beauty boss is proving that reinvention has no expiration date.
Mo Clark sits down with Farrah for an intimate conversation about faith, fearless entrepreneurship, the true meaning of luxury, and the secrets behind building something PLUSH!

Mo Clark: The Woman Behind the Brand: Farrah, before there was Plush, there was a woman with a vision. What inspired you to create the brand, and how has that vision evolved since you first started?
Farrah: Before there was Secrets to Plush, I was working as a bartender for more than 13 years and knew I was ready for a change. I started taking beauty classes in 2017, and brows quickly became something I loved. I wanted to build a place where women could come in, feel comfortable, and leave feeling more confident.
At first, my vision was focused on serving clients. Over time, it grew into something bigger. Secrets to Plush became a beauty studio, a place where I could teach, support my community, and show young people that they can turn a passion into a career. We’ve added more services, trainings, and community events, and my daughter is now part of the business as a co-owner. The heart of it is still the same: helping people feel good about themselves and creating opportunities along the way.
Mo Clark: The Meaning of Luxury: Luxury means something different to everyone. What does living a Plush lifestyle mean to you personally, and how do you translate that philosophy into your brand?
Farrah: To me, living a Plush lifestyle means feeling confident, cared for, and comfortable being yourself. Luxury doesn’t always have to mean something expensive. It can be the way you’re welcomed, the attention to detail, and how you feel when you leave.
That’s what I want people to experience at Secrets to Plush. From the moment a client walks in, I want them to feel seen and taken care of. We bring that philosophy into our services, our space, and the way we connect with our clients. Plush is about giving yourself permission to enjoy a little extra care and leave feeling good about you.
Mo Clark: Building Beyond the Brand: Entrepreneurship often comes with challenges people never see on social media. What has been one of your biggest obstacles in building Plush, and how did you overcome it?
Farrah: One of my biggest obstacles was trying to do everything by myself. I was focused on taking clients and providing great services, but I had to learn that growing a business takes more than being good at what you do. I needed to learn about marketing, systems, planning, and how to build a team.
I started investing in education and mentorship, asking questions, and being more open to help. It took time to stop feeling like I had to figure everything out alone, but that shift helped me see the bigger vision for Plush. I’m still learning as I grow, and I’ve learned that asking for support is part of being a strong business owner.
Mo Clark: The Power of Reinvention: As women, we experience different seasons of growth and transformation. How have your personal experiences influenced the businesswoman and brand visionary you’ve become?
Farrah: My personal experiences have taught me how to keep going, even when life doesn’t go the way I planned. After more than 13 years of bartending, I knew I needed a new direction. Then, while I was growing my beauty business, I went through the loss of a pregnancy and emergency surgery. It was a painful season, but my faith helped me take things one day at a time. A few months later, the opportunity to open my storefront came along.
Those experiences shaped the way I lead. They taught me to be resilient, to appreciate every opportunity, and to make room for other people’s stories. I want Secrets to Plush to be more than a place for beauty services. I want it to be a welcoming space where people feel cared for, and a brand that can grow through education, community, and the next generation—including my daughter, who is now my co-owner.
Mo Clark: The Secret to Success: In an increasingly competitive industry, what do you believe sets Plush apart, and what is the secret ingredient behind the brand’s continued growth?
Farrah: I think what sets Secrets to Plush apart is the way we make people feel. Great work matters, but so does listening, being welcoming, respecting someone’s time, and making sure they feel cared for from the moment they walk in.
The secret ingredient behind our growth is staying connected to our clients and being willing to keep learning and evolving. We’ve grown beyond brows into other beauty services, education, and community work, but the care we put into each experience is still at the center. I’m proud of what Plush has become, and I’m always looking for ways to grow while keeping that personal touch.
Mo Clark: The Next Chapter: When you envision the future of Plush, what does the next level look like? Are there any upcoming projects, expansions, or exciting developments your supporters should anticipate?
Farrah: The next level for Plush is growing beyond the studio and reaching more people through education, community partnerships, and new opportunities for my daughter and me to build together. I want to keep creating classes and programs that show young people and aspiring beauty professionals what’s possible when you take your passion seriously.
I’m also excited to share my experience as a coauthor of The Spa Bible, launching this December. It’s another way for me to give back what I’ve learned since starting in the industry in 2017. I’m taking things one step at a time, but I see Plush continuing to grow while staying rooted in beauty, confidence, and community.

For Farrah, the secret to Plush has never been just about flawless brows, luxurious services, or creating the perfect beauty experience. It’s about something much deeper: purpose, people, and the power of believing in what’s possible.
Her journey is a reminder that sometimes the greatest transformations happen long before anyone sees the finished product. They happen in the quiet moments when a woman decides she’s ready for more, when she chooses faith over fear, and when she refuses to let life’s unexpected detours determine her destination.
From a career behind the bar to building a beauty brand alongside her daughter, Farrah is creating something that reaches beyond entrepreneurship. She’s building a foundation for generational opportunity, inspiring aspiring beauty professionals, and showing other women that it’s never too late to reinvent themselves.
And with her upcoming contribution to The Spa Bible, Farrah is adding another dimension to her growing legacy, sharing the knowledge and experiences that helped shape her journey.
One thing is certain: this beauty boss isn’t finished writing her story.
Because when passion meets purpose, confidence becomes contagious, and a woman truly steps into her power, the possibilities are endless.
And baby, that’s the real secret to living PLUSH!
