Eric Bellinger Opens Up About “Anaconda” Credits as Dame Dash Clashes With Loren LoRosa

On a recent episode of The Breakfast Club brought two very different conversations into the spotlight, with singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger reflecting on his history with Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” and Dame Dash pushing back against reporting surrounding his bankruptcy case.

During his in-studio appearance with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious, Bellinger addressed his decade-long connection to “Anaconda” and why he remained relatively quiet about his contribution after receiving backlash for discussing it publicly in 2014. Bellinger clarified that his involvement was on the production side rather than writing Minaj’s verses, explaining that he believed the situation had been handled in a way that prevented confusion about his role.

The singer also opened up about his personal life, including the story behind his song “Closure” and meeting his wife, Maya, while he was on a break from a previous relationship. He discussed how his former partner eventually learned about his child through social media and reflected on how marriage changed his perspective on commitment. Bellinger also spoke about his career as an independent artist and signing his first major deal this year after spending much of his career outside the traditional label system.

Meanwhile, correspondent Loren LoRosa addressed Dame Dash’s criticism of her reporting on his bankruptcy case. Dash had previously called out LoRosa over coverage concerning a trustee’s efforts to sell his life rights, questioning why she focused on what he characterized as negative developments.

LoRosa pushed back, noting that her reporting has also covered Dash’s business ventures, including his OG Stories deal. Dash responded by continuing to challenge the coverage and questioning why more attention isn’t given to what he considers the positive aspects of his career and business activities.

The episode ultimately offered a mix of music industry revelations, personal reflections, and media tension, with both Bellinger and Dash providing their perspectives on stories that have followed them beyond the headlines.
