Charlotte Jackson is not simply part of the fashion conversation. She is reshaping it. As the Founder of The Curve Authority, she stands at the intersection of luxury, inclusion, and influence, creating space for women who have long been overlooked within couture. A former actress and singer, Jackson has transitioned into a respected force behind the scenes, becoming a trusted presence in elite fashion circles such as Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, while maintaining a consistent presence at Paris Fashion Week.
With elegance and intention, she challenges outdated standards and proves that personal style is not confined by size, age, or expectation. Through The Curve Authority, Jackson is building a legacy rooted in visibility, empowerment, and access.
In this exclusive conversation, she shares her journey, her mission, and her vision for the future of inclusive luxury.

You transitioned from being an actress and singer to becoming a respected force behind the scenes in luxury fashion. What sparked that evolution, and how did your background in entertainment shape the way you now move within couture spaces?
My transition into fashion was a natural extension of my background in entertainment. As an actress and singer, I spent years in environments where image, presence, and storytelling were central to every performance.
Through those experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the power of clothing. Fashion sprinkled with one’s personal style has the ability to communicate confidence, elegance, and authority as soon as you enter a room.
What became increasingly clear to me was that many women with curves and women of maturity were not fully represented in luxury fashion spaces. Yet these women value design, style, and inclusion in couture just as deeply as anyone else.
Recognizing that gap became one of the inspirations behind the vision for The Curve Authority. It is a platform dedicated to celebrating curves within the world of luxury fashion and ensuring women feel both seen and empowered when they step into any room.
As Founder of The Curve Authority, you are redefining what plus size couture looks like at the highest level. What gaps did you personally experience that made you realize the industry needed a platform like yours?
One of the most noticeable gaps I experienced was within luxury retail itself. Many luxury brands beautifully produced accessories such as handbags, scarves, sunglasses, jewelry, and shoes that women with curves could purchase, but when it came to the actual garments, the sizing often stopped short of including them.
So a woman could walk into a luxury boutique and buy the bag, the sunglasses, the scarf, and the shoes, but the clothing itself was not made with her body in mind. The silhouettes, tailoring, and size ranges frequently excluded women who deeply appreciated couture and luxury design, yet rarely saw garments created with them in mind.
I also saw how mature women were sometimes subtly pushed out of certain fashion conversations, as if elegance and bold style had an age limit. In reality, many women become more confident and expressive with their style as they grow into themselves.
Recognizing these gaps reinforced the importance of elevating curves and mature women within luxury fashion spaces and ensuring they are not just welcomed into the room, but fully considered in the design and styling conversation.
You are a regular presence at Paris Fashion Week and within circles such as McQueen and Stella McCartney. What does true inclusive luxury look like in those rooms, and where do you still see work that needs to be done?
True inclusive luxury begins with intention. It means recognizing that the luxury woman is not defined by one body type, one age group, or one narrow standard of beauty.
In the rooms I move through during Paris Fashion Week, I do see encouraging shifts. There is a growing awareness that the global luxury customer is diverse. She may be mature, she may have curves, and she appreciates design, artistry, and refined construction just as deeply as anyone else.
Where there is still opportunity for growth is in how garments are developed. When designers are creating the runway sample or presentation piece, that same garment could be thoughtfully produced for additional body types at the same time. It does not require changing the designer’s vision. It simply means allowing women with curves to experience that same design as it was originally imagined.
The goal is not to alter what designers are doing, but to walk hand in hand with them so more women can access the beauty of their work.
Luxury at its best is about artistry, innovation, and excellence. When those values are extended to embrace a wider range of women, the industry becomes stronger and far more reflective of the world it serves.
You often speak about how clothing sets the tone before you ever speak. How do you coach your clients, particularly mature women and women with curves, to use fashion as a tool of authority and presence?
I often remind my clients that clothing introduces you before you ever say a word. The way a woman presents herself can immediately communicate confidence, intention, and self-respect.
When I work with women, particularly women with curves and women who have reached a beautiful stage of maturity in their lives, I encourage them to view fashion as a form of personal expression rather than limitation. The goal is not to hide the body, but to honor it.
We focus on silhouette, balance, and thoughtful tailoring so that the clothing supports the woman wearing it. When garments complement a woman’s natural shape and reflect her personality, something powerful happens. Her posture changes, her energy shifts, and she carries herself with greater assurance.
Fashion then becomes more than style. It becomes a tool of presence. When a woman feels aligned with how she looks, she steps into rooms with clarity, confidence, and authority.

Many brands are navigating financial strain in a shifting economy. From your perspective, why is the 45+ woman and the plus size luxury consumer such a powerful, yet underleveraged, market?
The woman over 45 represents one of the most influential and sophisticated consumers in the fashion industry. At this stage in her life, she is often established in her career, respected in her field, and moving through the world with a strong sense of identity and presence. Many of these women are leaders in business, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. They understand quality, they value excellence, and they are intentional about how they present themselves.
Fashion becomes an extension of that presence. She is no longer experimenting with who she is. She knows who she is, and she chooses pieces that reflect that confidence, refinement, and authority.
At the same time, the plus size luxury consumer has historically been underserved within the industry. These women appreciate thoughtful design, beautiful tailoring, and elevated style just as deeply as anyone else, yet they have not always had the same level of access to garments that reflect their presence and lifestyle.
What makes this audience especially powerful is not only their purchasing ability but also their refined taste and loyalty. When a brand truly sees them and respects their presence, they respond with lasting support.
For brands willing to recognize this woman and design with her in mind, the opportunity is extraordinary. She is not just a customer. She is a woman of influence whose presence naturally elevates the brands she chooses to wear.
You emphasize the power of the in-store boutique experience. In an era driven by online shopping, why do you believe physical retail and relationship-building remain essential for both brands and consumers?
Luxury has always been about experience, not just access. While online shopping offers convenience, it cannot fully replicate the feeling of walking into a beautifully curated boutique where every detail has been thoughtfully considered.
When a woman enters a luxury space and is greeted by knowledgeable staff who understand style, fit, and presentation, the experience becomes personal. She is not simply purchasing an item. She is discovering pieces that reflect her identity, her lifestyle, and the way she chooses to show up in the world.
For many women who appreciate elevated fashion, the boutique experience also offers something invaluable. It allows them to see how a garment truly fits and moves, to feel the fabrics, and to experience how a piece comes to life once it is worn.
There is also a level of guidance that makes the experience special. In a boutique setting, a skilled associate may introduce a silhouette, accessory, or styling combination that a woman may not have considered on her own. That kind of thoughtful, white glove service often leads to discoveries that elevate her entire wardrobe.
Equally important is the relationship that develops between the brand and the customer. When a boutique takes the time to truly understand the woman who walks through its doors, it creates trust and loyalty that extend far beyond a single purchase.
Physical retail, when done well, becomes more than a place to shop. It becomes a space where style, service, and connection come together to create a memorable luxury experience.
As you embark on this year’s Paris Fashion Week and continue shaping the next chapter of plus size couture, what legacy are you intentionally building for the women coming behind you?
The legacy I hope to build is one of visibility, dignity, and belonging. For many years, women with curves and women of maturity have admired luxury fashion from the outside looking in. My hope is that the women coming behind me will never feel that distance. They should see themselves reflected in the spaces they love and know that elegance, refinement, and presence are not limited by age or body type.
Through my work and through The Curve Authority, I want women to walk into fashion spaces with confidence, knowing they deserve to be there. Their experiences, their curves, and the lives they have lived bring depth and beauty to the world of luxury fashion.
If the next generation of women steps into those rooms with greater confidence, greater access, and a stronger sense of belonging than the generation before them, then I know the work has made an impact.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief that every woman deserves to feel recognized, elevated, and celebrated. Our message is simple and intentional. We See You. We Style You. We Crown You. Because when a woman feels truly seen and beautifully styled, she naturally carries herself like the crown was always hers.
