As we celebrate the Festive Season, it is worthwhile to reach out and make a positive impact on those in need, especially in underserved communities.
In the great spirit of Christmas, we can make a positive difference by sharing and giving of our time and talents to add value into the lives of others.
Let this be a Festive Period which you will look back on one day and say this was the turnaround point for your life.
This was the time you found your mojo. This is when you came of age. This is when you reconnect with your ancestors, angels, God, human society, and the universe.
I know that God does not like it when we start things and not finish them.
May this be the Season that you commit and strive to finish any unfinished business, work, project, or whatever it is you need to complete.
May this be the Season of new hope and renewed love in action, as we seek to think, say, and act in a just and humane conduct at all times.
When we forgive ourselves and forgive others, we are in the perfect space to be forgiven for our shortcomings and wrongs.
When we seek and strive to fix the problems in our communities, we allow the universe to support us in our different endeavours.
A lesson one has learnt is that the best time to plan for the New Year is during the Festive Period. Planning in the New Year or making New Year resolutions in January may be quite late, as the year has already begun.
Planning or making your New Year resolutions during the Festive Season, just before the New Year, will allow you to hit the ground running when the New Year commences.
It is actually better to focus on your game plan rather than New Year resolutions, which are harder to keep for many people, if not all of us.
Education, training, and skills development are a must for all communities and countries who seek to improve the lives of their people. Expert research is overwhelming on this front.
Reskilling and upgrading should be what we focus on in the New Year, as we do not want or wish to remain in the same position we find ourselves currently.
A healthy and powerful goal for Africa and the world would be to strive for record enrollments in primary, high and secondary, tertiary schooling, and vocational adult education.
May workshops, seminars, and masterclasses be the order of the day for all our communities.
May community halls and centres serve as community colleges for the unemployed and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.
May entrepreneurship, just like education, sport, and other sectors and industries, be available and serve all our people.
May love, peace, and friendship be a blessing for all people.
And may we all know and always remember that God loves us all.
Let us all commit to fixing whatever it is we can fix, starting this Festive Season and into the future.
Let’s light up the world with our good deeds.
Merry Christmas!
