Black Women in Media: Atlanta’s Night of Power, Purpose, and Cultural Influence

There are moments that shift the atmosphere and set a new standard for what unity and excellence look like. November 6th in Atlanta was one of those moments. The Gathering Spot was filled with brilliance, purpose, and the fierce spirit of Black media leadership. It was not just an event. It was a movement.

The visionary of the night, Shon Murdock of FULL BLOOM GLOBAL MEDIA, pulled together a room overflowing with powerhouse voices that are shaping culture, telling our stories, and preserving our legacy in media. This was his first year launching this event and the energy made it clear that it will not be the last.

I was honored to witness the moment and proud to speak on the panel among so many trailblazers, as the Founder/Publisher of FEMI Magazine.

These women spoke on challenges, opportunities, and the future of media with passion and transparency. When Black women come together with intention, we do not just speak. We shift rooms. We open doors. We build tables and make space for others to eat too.

Atlanta felt the power that night.

Below are the phenomenal women and their media brands represented:

This was more than an event. It was a celebration of excellence and a declaration that our stories matter. We create. We lead. We empower. And when we come together like this, our light only shines brighter.
