“Wellness isn’t a luxury—it’s a legacy.”
Those are the words Savauna Sage lives by. As the founder of Paradise Park Atlanta, an eight-acre riverfront wellness sanctuary in Douglasville, Georgia, Savauna has redefined what it means to truly rest, restore, and reconnect with oneself.

Former CNN television editor and Microsoft corporate technical strategist, Savauna once thrived in high-pressure corporate spaces before her own experience with burnout became the catalyst for change. That moment of exhaustion and awakening inspired her to transform acres of waterfront land into a healing oasis where nature, science, and spirituality work in harmony. Paradise Park is now a haven for caregivers, entrepreneurs, and high-performing professionals who are ready to recover from burnout and reclaim their peace.
“The land itself is the medicine,” Savauna explains. The lush property is surrounded by towering trees that release immune-boosting phytoncides, the calming sound of flowing water, and gardens filled with herbs and food that nourish both body and spirit. Guests can immerse themselves in experiences such as Phase 3 Assisted Stretch sessions, a 3-Part Womb Wellness Experience, and the signature 4 Hands Massage.
Through her studies and personal practice, Savauna developed the 12 (w)holistic Living Principles—a comprehensive system designed to restore balance to the mind, body, spirit, and emotions. “Support is key,” she says. “We live in a society where overstimulation and constant hustle are the norm. People need systems that teach them to live in high performance without self-sacrifice.”

These 12 principles now form the foundation of Paradise Park’s programs, which include multi-day retreats, executive resets, and corporate wellness immersions. Guests unwind in the serene Cypress and Serenity Suites of the Grand Cabin, where every detail encourages deep rest and rejuvenation. “Your greatest asset is your energy,” she emphasizes. “Protect it, nurture it, and prioritize practices that keep you grounded.”
Savauna also believes that the most overlooked step in preventing burnout is genuine self-love. Her upcoming book, How to Love Yourself for Real, explores this truth through what she calls “Body Temple Awareness”—a return to honoring one’s own humanity. “Self-love isn’t just a feeling,” she says. “It’s a daily discipline. When you hydrate intentionally, rest without guilt, and nourish yourself with care, balance naturally returns.”
Family is at the heart of Paradise Park. Savauna, her husband, and their children developed the retreat together, creating an environment where healing is both communal and deeply personal. “My family has been my mirror,” she reflects. “They remind me to fill my cup before pouring into others.” Paradise Park now offers everything from family and couples retreats to prenatal and postpartum programs, as well as natural fertility and educational initiatives. Through a partnership with the Black Montessori Education Fund, the retreat even provides nature-based learning experiences for children while parents enjoy wellness treatments by the riverside.
Looking toward the future, Savauna envisions Paradise Park as a global destination for longevity and holistic living. The retreat’s next phase includes Lumina Manor, a 90-suite elevated capsule-style lodging experience set to open ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Designed for international guests, athletes, and executives, Lumina Manor will elevate the concept of wellness tourism by blending luxury with the healing rhythm of nature.
Savauna’s mission is clear—to help people experience what she calls “Bio-Harmony,” the balance where mind, body, and spirit align. “My hope is that everyone who visits Paradise Park leaves more peaceful, purposeful, and prepared to live a long, joyful life,” she says. “Peace and bliss—that’s the new standard of success.”
