Girls Trip Society Takes Flight: A Night of Sisterhood, Laughter, and Purpose

Devin Wilmott-Johnson is no stranger to creating powerful spaces that bring people together, and her latest venture is doing exactly that. As a celebrated Brand Strategist and Event Curator, she’s introducing Girls Trip Society through her inspiring “Takeoff Series,” beginning with the highly anticipated “Girls Just Wanna Night Out” event on October 25 at TK’s Restaurant & Comedy Club in Addison, Texas.

The Takeoff Series is all about creating a community where women can truly connect, recharge, and celebrate their journeys. Following the sold-out success of “Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch,” this next experience promises to deliver even more laughter, love, and light. Girls Trip Society isn’t just another event brand — it’s a movement that reminds women to pause, breathe, and pour back into themselves.

“When I created Girls Trip Society, I wanted it to feel like a girls’ getaway, even if you never left home,” Devin shared. “So many women are constantly pouring into others while juggling family, business, and purpose. I wanted to create a space where we could laugh, reset, and reconnect — with ourselves and with women who get it.”

Hosting the evening will be multi-talented entertainer B. Simone, whose mix of authenticity, faith, humor, and confidence perfectly captures the spirit of Girls Trip Society. “B. Simone knows how to keep it real while inspiring women to own their stories and evolution,” Devin said. “The energy for the night is fun meets freedom — it’s laughter, raw conversation, and sisterhood all in one. I wanted someone who could hold space for transparency while keeping the vibe high, and she brings that effortlessly.”

In addition to the entertainment, the evening carries a deeper mission. Girls Trip Society will be awarding a $10,000 grant to support women-owned businesses, made possible through a partnership with DWJ & Co. LLC. and Cooks Accounting Solutions LLC. The grant is open to women nationwide, whether running for-profit or nonprofit ventures, and attendance at the event isn’t required to apply.

“As a woman who’s built multiple brands from the ground up, I know that sometimes all you need is one opportunity to shift everything,” Devin explained. “We’re looking for women who are purpose-driven, community-minded, and resilient — women who see their business as a vehicle for impact. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about passion and perseverance.”

After the success of “Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch,” Devin and her team are taking things to new heights for “Girls Just Wanna Night Out.” Guests can expect live music, giveaways, immersive activations, and the signature GirlsTalk Fireside Chat featuring celebrity guests. The design of the evening will take women on a journey around the world — from The Bahamas to Las Vegas, Egypt, and Paris — all within one unforgettable night in Addison.

“Girls Just Wanna Have Brunch showed us how hungry women are for experiences that blend luxury, fun, and authenticity,” Devin shared. “This next event is part social experience, part safe space — a night where women can dance, laugh, and still walk away with tangible inspiration and sisterhood.”

Beyond the events, Girls Trip Society is building something lasting. “I want women to know they’re not alone — that success, healing, and joy can all coexist,” Devin said. “Through our upcoming membership community, curated trips, and mentorship programs, we’re building a tribe. A place where every woman feels seen, supported, and celebrated not just for what she does, but for who she is.”

Girls Trip Society isn’t just taking off — it’s creating a movement for women everywhere to soar together.
