Where Wild Women Wander, a virtual wellness event focused on the transformative power of rest and holistic wellness, will take place on August 23, 2025. In honor of National Wellness Month, this event will empower Black women to embrace rest as an essential part of their self-care and healing journeys.
Presented by SwagHer Magazine, owned by Francheska “Fancy” Felder, and Lakisha Mosley’s The LM Experience, this event gathers wellness experts, community leaders, and advocates to promote the healing power of rest and wellness practices.
August is National Wellness Month, a time to focus on self-care and mental health. Where Wild Women Wander aligns with this observance by providing a space for Black women to reconnect with themselves, step into a new season of rest, and explore holistic wellness practices that nurture their entire being.
The event will feature a dynamic lineup of experts from various wellness fields, each offering guidance on how to integrate rest and healing into daily life. Participants include:

- “Wellness is Revolutionary”: This panel will explore how prioritizing wellness is a radical act of self-preservation, particularly for Black women.
- “Rest is Resistance”: Panelists will discuss how rest serves as a form of resistance against the pressures of grind culture and the power it holds for creativity, healing, and renewal.
- Therapist Circle: A safe space for therapists to discuss mental health, boundaries, and healing from trauma. This circle provides expert insights on nurturing emotional well-being.
- The SwagHer Roundtable: A final discussion on creating sustainable wellness practices and embracing rest without guilt.
