Shae Primus is Redefining Luxury Love for Black Professionals Nationwide

Shae Primus is not your average matchmaker—she’s a powerhouse, a pioneer, and a certified love architect changing the dating landscape for Black single professionals across the nation. As the owner of Upper Echelon Matchmaking, a boutique dating and coaching firm, Shae has successfully matched over 500 couples since 2013. Her approach is intentional, strategic, and rooted in emotional alignment rather than just chemistry. “The secret is alignment, not perfection,” she says. “Compatibility sustains a relationship, not just vibes.”

From her early days as The Middle-Class Matchmaker to being offered $1 million to match hip-hop mogul Rick Ross, Shae’s evolution has been nothing short of extraordinary. That bold offer didn’t just spotlight her growing influence—it confirmed her need to shift into a more refined lane. And so, Upper Echelon Matchmaking was born, a luxury concierge experience serving elite professionals, celebrities, and billionaires with tailored services like personal scouting, astrology-based analysis, attachment-style evaluations, and even curated photoshoots. Her clients don’t just get matches—they get transformed.

Shae’s credibility is backed by serious credentials: an undergraduate degree in Communications from Clark Atlanta University, a graduate degree in Human Resources & Organizational Development from The University of Georgia, and near completion of her PhD in Training & Performance Improvement. With 20 years in corporate HR and training for Fortune 500 companies, Shae blends professional rigor with personal insight. “Dating is like hiring for your most important position,” she explains. “I use my background to assess emotional intelligence, communication, and leadership potential in love.”

Her presence on Bravo’s Love Match Atlanta propelled her into national visibility, giving millions a front-row seat into the inner workings of her luxury matchmaking firm—and the bold, brilliant woman behind it. “Representation matters,” she says. “People saw a Black woman standing firm in her standards and advocating for love that doesn’t require struggle.”

Despite the rise of dating apps and AI-powered pairings, Shae believes the future of love is still deeply human. Her practice integrates ancient tools like astrology and modern psychology with cutting-edge resources like Upper Echelon Conversation Cards to help clients date more intentionally. “My clients are done swiping. They want substance.”

Looking ahead, Shae is expanding her empire with the upcoming release of her second book, The Dating Game Playbook: How to Win in Modern Dating, which blends her personal journey with actionable dating strategies. She’s also launching digital courses, a podcast, and luxury singles events designed to help emotionally available singles find real, lasting love.

A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Shae lives in Atlanta with her two children. Her mission is bold and clear: to elevate the dating experience for ambitious Black professionals and prove that love, like success, is worth curating with care.
