Angelica Smith, the reigning Ms. Petite USA 2024, is preparing to take her advocacy and empowerment platform to the global stage as she competes for the prestigious title of Ms. Universal Petite from June 5–8, 2025.

Originally from Red Springs, North Carolina, and now residing in Washington, D.C., Angelica is a proud alumna of North Carolina A&T State University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science and Fitness Management with a concentration in Business Administration. During her time at A&T, she served as Senior Class Queen, danced for the university’s drumline, and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Angelica’s professional journey has centered on leadership, empowerment, and community impact. She began as an Event Coordinator for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics with the Aggie Athletic Foundation before becoming the Director of Marketing and Corporate Sponsorships for Athletics at Norfolk State University. Currently, she manages Campus Marketing and Engagement at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, traveling to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) nationwide to connect students with scholarships, internships, and professional development opportunities.
Beyond her career, Angelica is dedicated to community service and advocacy. Through her platform, “Stature Does Not Determine Strength,” she challenges societal perceptions and promotes inclusivity, ensuring that all women—regardless of height or size—embrace their limitless potential. She actively participates in mentorship programs that empower young women and students to overcome obstacles and recognize their strengths.
Angelica’s commitment to service extends beyond professional settings. She consistently engages in outreach initiatives supporting HBCU students, volunteer efforts uplifting marginalized communities, and partnerships enhancing opportunities for future leaders. She believes in representation, equity, and ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds receive the encouragement and support they deserve.
In her free time, Angelica enjoys creating engaging social media content, exploring new restaurants for French toast and sushi, and immersing herself in the cultural vibrancy of Washington, D.C. A true believer in kindness and respect, she embodies the confidence, strength, and heart that define Ms. Petite USA.

As she prepares for the Ms. Universal Petite competition, Angelica seeks to highlight the significance of representation in pageantry, and encourage others to embrace their unique strengths. Her journey from Ms. Petite USA to competing internationally is a testament to her dedication to breaking barriers and uplifting communities.
