Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is set to release Him, a psychological sports horror film directed by Justin Tipping, on September 19, 2025. The film stars Tyriq Withers as Cameron Cade, a promising young quarterback whose career is jeopardized by a severe brain injury. In a desperate bid to reclaim his future, Cameron accepts an invitation to train at the secluded compound of retired football legend Isaiah White, portrayed by Marlon Wayans.

As training intensifies, Cameron is drawn into a harrowing journey that blurs the lines between ambition and obsession. The isolated setting becomes a backdrop for unsettling rituals and psychological manipulation, challenging Cameron’s perception of reality and the true cost of greatness.
The ensemble cast includes Julia Fox as Elsie White, Isaiah’s influencer wife, along with Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, MMA fighter Maurice Greene, and musicians Guapdad 4000 and Tierra Whack in their film debuts. The screenplay, penned by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, was recognized on the 2022 Black List for best unproduced scripts.
Him promises a chilling exploration of the dark side of sports culture, fame, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The film’s teaser trailer, released recently, offers a glimpse into its eerie atmosphere and psychological depth.
Him is scheduled to premiere in theaters nationwide on September 19, 2025.
