The DFW Mass Legacy Choir is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single, My Purpose, the first EP of the year. This highly anticipated release marks the triumphant return of the choir, formerly known as The DFW Mass Choir, with a renewed mission and dedication to spreading God’s message through music.
The DFW Mass Legacy Choir stands firm in their purpose—to let the world know they are driven by their faith and a deep desire to please God. With the motto “God first in everything we do,” the choir is committed to delivering soul-stirring music that inspires and uplifts audiences everywhere.
While the choir’s new website is currently under construction, fans can stay connected via their official YouTube and Instagram pages. Additionally, a Facebook community, The Fans of The DFW Mass Legacy Choir, provides a space for supporters to engage with the group’s journey and updates.
Comprised of nearly 100 members, the DFW Mass Legacy Choir includes about 35 original members from The DFW Mass Choir, with 20 members, including CEO Glenn Robertson, being part of the choir since its inception. Their dedication and passion for gospel music remain unwavering as they embark on this new chapter.
My Purpose, written by Carl Jerome Williams, serves as the lead single for the choir’s upcoming full-length recording project, expected to be released in late spring or early summer of 2025. This powerful track features a choir version, an instrumental rendition, and a live video performance. Inspired by Joshua 6:1-21, My Purpose recounts the biblical story of the Israelites’ obedience to God’s command to march around the walls of Jericho, leading to their victory. The song embodies the choir’s commitment to walking in faith and purpose. The music video was captured by the talented Billion Shot It and Horace Morgan is the lead singer on My Purpose.
In addition to the traditional release, The DFW Mass Legacy Choir is making history with My Purpose (Rap Edition) , set to debut on March 21, 2025. This innovative approach blends old-school and new-school rap with the same choir arrangement, creating a unique musical experience. Inspired by a vision God gave Glenn Robertson in 2024, this edition aims to reach younger generations while preserving the essence of Sunday morning church choir music. Featuring (Sons of DFDUB) talented rappers DeAngelo, Nick, and Glenn Jr., the track delivers powerful lyrics that resonate across generations.
The DFW Mass Legacy Choir proudly holds the distinction of being the only National Recording Mass Choir in the state of Texas. As they continue their legacy, they are committed to expanding their reach while staying true to their divine calling.
