About Steven Thad
Born Stephen Leslie, Jr., Steven Thad has been immersed in music since childhood. Growing up in the DMV area, he and his sisters, Sierra and Shanté, were introduced to music early on, frequently attending choir rehearsals with their parents. Their dedication and talent led them to success as the Billboard-charting gospel group, Trilogy.
Steven Thad’s solo journey began in 2014 when he left for college, marking the first time he explored his own musical identity. His craft was further refined in 2018 under the mentorship of Grammy-nominated producer Dana Soréy, who helped him build confidence in beat-making and sound production.
